HARDY, David Emmerson
Passed away peacefully in hospital on Sunday, September 25th, 2005 at the age of 59 years, following a lengthy illness faced with unfailing courage and optimism. David, beloved husband of Margaret (HALL,) devoted and loving father to Katherine and Caroline. son of the late Vera SMITH and Oiva HARDY, brother of Peter HARDY (deceased) and Bill KEIGHLEY (Thunder Bay.) A lover of family & Friends, inspiring teacher, enthusiastic learner, champion of business creativity and innovation for Bank of Montreal. He will be missed greatly. The family will receive Friends on Wednesday September 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 3 pm in Melville Presbyterian Church, 70 Old Kingston Road, Scarborough. Flowers gratefully declined. Beloved husband of Sylvia (KEIL) UNDERHILL. Born in London on September 27, 1963, loving son of Wayne and Dorothy CHAMBERS) UNDERHILL of R.R.#1, Delaware. Dear brother to Tanya TOMPKINS and husband Fred of Saint Thomas and the late Paula UNDERHILL (2000.) Son-in-law to Christa KEIL- HIRTH and husband Helmuth and brother-in-law to Connie SANDERS and Barry LAMONT. Uncle to Colton TOMPKINS, Caitlynn and Justin LAMONT. Also survived by a number of uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear Friends. Kim has been involved with helping people in the Homes for Special Care all his life. He owned and operated KW Residential Home in Waterloo and was a valued friend and confidant to many. He raised Standard Bred Horses. Friends may call at the H.A. Passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Sunday, September 25, 2005; devoted wife of the late Shafik DEMLAKIAN, loving mother of Nairi, wife of the late Abraham SOUVALIAN and of Tom with his partner Victor SO; doting grandmother of Paul and Mark SOUVALIAN; Haig and Aram CHURUKIAN, Nairy EL- KEILANI and their families in Cairo; Simé, Zaven, Vazken, and the late Peter DEMLAKIAN and their families in Sydney, Australia; Rita APKARIAN and her family in Seattle; Vahan DEMLAKIAN and his family in L.A.; sister of the late Dr. Gilbert IBRAHIM of Cairo and the late Victor IBRAHIM, her nieces Justine PIPER and Salma RANDALL and their families in Reading, England; and numerous family members and Friends in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, England, the U.S., Australia, Montreal and Toronto. Born August 3rd, 1908 in Mosul, the Ottoman Empire, to the Reverend Thomas IBRAHIM and Salma SPEAR, Justine spent her youth in Mardin, Turkey and her late teens in Egypt, graduating from the American University at Cairo in the 1930's with a B.A. in Education and became a teacher in the English Mission College, Heliopolis. Justine married Shafik DEMLAKIAN of Mousa Dagh in 1941 and devoted her talents to the Armenian Red Cross and the Housaper Club in Cairo. In 1974 she joined Tom and Nairi with her family in Toronto and made Canada her home. With her poise, patient determination and nurturing nature she taught her children and grandchildren discipline, perseverance and true values. She will live forever in our hearts. The family extends its special gratitude to the Community Care Access Centre staff, the Mt. Sinai Palliative Care Program, the North York General Hospital and her family physician, Dr. David TANNENBAUM of Mt. Sinai Hospital for many years of compassionate care. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, from 12: 00 noon-1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28th. Iris was a very special "Nanny" to her granddaughters Meaghan and Julia JEREMIC who already miss her desperately. SWIST, Daniel J. passed away on January 13, 2005 in Henderson, Nevada. Daniel was born on August 19, 1919 in Manchester, New Hampshire to the late Emilia and Jacob SWIST. He graduated the University of Alabama where he earned a B. S. degree in Business Administration and Accounting. His entire Business School senior class enlisted in the military after Pearl Harbor and he served in the combat infantry in France, Germany and Holland, receiving several commendations. Later, he graduated from the Boston University Law School and began a career in government. He worked in Washington, D.C. for the State Department, the Department of Labor and the Treasury Department's Internal Revenue Service. Daniel married the love of his life, Wilda Ethel GALLOWAY on November 27, 1963. In 1976, he and Wilda retired to Clearwater, Florida and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona. His beloved wife Wilda died on September 1, 1998 and the light went out of his life. He is also predeceased by his sister, Wanda PIEKOS. He is survived by a host of nieces: Sonia-Kay KEIRSTEAD of Tallahassee, Florida; Janie M. RAY of Lowell, Massachusetts; Sheila HATT, Helen SAWCHUK, Edith GALLOWAY, Virginia WYLDE, Wilda MARDLIN, June EDWARDS, Mary Lou DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS, Cathy GALLOWAY, and Dr. Susan Burgess NESBITT, all of Canada, and two nephews also of Canada, Charles BURGESS and Thomas GALLOWAY. KEITH, Russell J. (1922-2005)
After a life well lived full of verve, commitment and warmth Keith died peacefully at Toronto Grace Hospital on May 30th. He will be dearly missed by his son Spencer and sister Elizabeth as well as the multitude of others who were touched by his generous presence. Born and educated in Montreal he joined LePage's Adhesives in 1950 eventually attaining the position of president and Chief Executive Officer in 1981. He was also a past president of Toastmasters of America, the Rotary Club of Etobicoke and the Packaging Association of Canada as well as working as an ambassador for the City of Brampton. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War where he acquired his unending love of travel. His wife, Victoria, whom he loved until the end died in 1988. A private cremation was held on June 3rd and a larger celebration of his life will be held later in the summer. May the spirit in which he led his life continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to have known him.

Mr. William James (Bill) REDFORD died peacefully on October 2, 2005 in his 95th year, having lived a life of caring and accomplishment. His love of learning and of children took him from a camp counsellor at Bolton Camp to public school teaching and ultimately he bccame a senior education administrator for the Toronto Board of Education. His grandchildren fondly remember him spending long hours playing cottage games, taking them fishing and attending most of the important events of their lives.
Predeceased by his wife Jean, Bill leaves his children Patricia KEITH and her husband Tony, Bob REDFORD and wife Ann, grandchildren Kathy (Jeff), Rob (Deirdre), Jill (Dean), Bill (Donna) Sarah and Kate, great grandchildren Hilary, Grace, David, James, Drew and Jessica.

Peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on August 5th, 2005, in his 84th year. Bill, beloved husband of the late June. REDFORD, William " Bill" James
Mr. William James (Bill) REDFORD died peacefully on October 2, 2005, in his 95th year, having lived a life of caring and accomplishment. His love of learning and of children took him from a camp counsellor at Bolton Camp to public school teaching and ultimately he became a senior education administrator for the Toronto Board of Education. His grandchildren fondly remember him spending long hours playing cottage games, taking them fishing and attending most of the important events of their lives. Predeceased by his wife Jean, Bill leaves his children Patricia KEITH and her husband Tony, Bob REDFORD and his wife Ann, grandchildren Kathy (Jeff,) Rob (Deirdre), Jill (Dean), Bill (Donna), Sarah and Kate, great-grandchildren Hilary, Grace, David, James, Drew and Jessica. A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be held on November 19, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. at the Humphrey Funeral Home at 1403 Bayview Avenue, Toronto (at Davisville) preceded by visitation at noon. KILBURN, Janine Louise (née WILLIAMS)
Suddenly at Guelph on Wednesday, October 12, 2005, Janine (WILLIAMS) KILBURN at the age of 40 years. Loving wife of Stephen KILBURN. Janine is lovingly remembered by her mother Carol WILLIAMS and her husband Bert M'QUEEN of Etobicoke and survived by her father Gary and his wife Elizabeth WILLIAMS of Kingston. Revered by her sister Julie WILLIAMS and her husband John FLEMING/FLEMMING and their children Rachel and William, all of Guelph, and her brother James WILLIAMS and his family of Vancouver. Sadly missed by her step-sisters Kerri M'QUEEN and her husband Geoff TURNER and their children Jessica and Mitchell all of Newmarket and Kelly KEITH and her husband James and their son Matthew all of Brampton. Daughter-in-law of Myrla KILBURN and Paul KILBURN both of Toronto. Always missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, colleagues and Friends. Janine was devoted to family and an ever-growing circle of Friends because she knew that when you gave love it returned to you tenfold. Professionally, she dedicated herself to preserving and strengthening rural communities. As a volunteer, she was passionately involved in public service projects through membership in the Shelburne Rotary Club. Through her compassion, empathy and unwaivering pursuit of joy she challenged us all to be our best selves.
