MARTIN, Charles Philip " Phil"
Peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the age of 81, surrounded by his loving family. Dear husband of Jean. Loving father of Sharon JOCELYN and Eileen MARTIN (Hugh GAYLER.) Proud grandfather of Keary (Patricia) and Corey JOCELYN, and step-grandfather of Jonathan and Emma GAYLER. Brother of John (Claire), Brenda and the late Daphne (Frank). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Dublin, Ireland emigrating to Canada in 1936, Phil served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War 2, followed by 38 years with Canadian National Railways in various cities in Canada. A lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church and recently an active participant in the planning and construction of the new building for Saint John's Presbyterian Church in Bradford, Ontario. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Saint John's Presbyterian Church, 2940 10th Sideroad at 8th Line, Bradford, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil's memory may be made to the Cancer Unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre or to Saint John's Presbyterian Church Bradford, Ontario.

Peacefully with family at his side, on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of 50 years to Maria. Cherished father of Elke (Tim) and Ralf. Proud Opa of Lisa-Marie. Willy will be missed by his brothers Erich (Rosemarie) and Manfred. Funeral Service will be held at the Highland Funeral Home, Markham Chapel, 10 Cachet Woods Court (northeast corner of Hwy. 404 and 16th Avenue), 905-887-8600, on Saturday at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Cremation. In memory of Willy, donations made to the Parkinson Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Passed away at Grindstone Creek Manor, Waterdown, on Thursday, August 18, 2005, in her 73rd year. Loved mother of Donna ADAMSON (Jay) of Waterdown, Kelly RYE (Ken) of Millett, Alberta, Sharon ZAMMIT (Bill,) Jackie WOOD (Gary) and Andrew ALTON (Bonnie,) all of Burlington. Grandmother of Marley, Myles, Ryan, Jennifer, Kristy, Justin, Kevin, Sean, Kevin, Tyler, Isaiah, Mathew and Joshua and great-grandmother of Hannah, Dylan, Jacob and Noah. Dear sister of Nina CHRISTIE of Toronto and John CHRISTIE of Collingwood. As a case worker for the Aboriginal people in Toronto, her services will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Wellington Square United Church, 2121 Caroline Street, Burlington, on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Aboriginal Legal Services of Toronto, 415 Yonge Street, Toronto M5B 2E7, or Wellington Square United Church Memorial Fund would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
