CAMPBELL,
Ruth
Bodwell (née
BLACHFORD)
It is with great sadness that the family announces that Ruth
passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on
Tuesday January 18th, 2005, at the age of 87. Beloved wife for
61 years of the late Andrew Claude (2002): much loved Mum of
Andrew (Debbie), Joanne (John), Mary Lou and Gail. Loving grannie
of Rob, Michael and James
CAMPBELL, Michael, Jeff, Paul, Kate
and Peter LAMBERT,
Kerry,
Kim and Kelly
JESTY, Scott, Kristie
and Julie BOADWIN whom she adored. Mary Elbe and Bill
ROBINSON
will also miss her greatly. Dear sister of the late Kenneth (Gina)
BLACHFORD and the late Edward (Bernice)
BLACHFORD.
For many years
Ruth and Claude were very active in volunteering their time and
talents to several local charitable organizations. Ruth maintained
the membership for the Hamilton and District Ostomy Association,
and was a Member of the former Mountain Group. During her many
years at the Church of Saint Thomas, Ruth was very active as a
choir member, the boys choir mother and long time member of their
bowling league. As a talented organist and pianist, Ruth occasionally
filled in as the relief organist at Saint Thomas. She enjoyed many
hours socializing with the ladies from the Circle 20 Bridge Club,
who will also miss her. We have all benefited from her expert
handiwork - smocking, needlepoint, cross stiching, crocheting
and knitting. She was also a cracker-jack crossword solver. A
woman of character and the woman was a character! Friends may
call at the Marlatt Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 615 Main
Street East (east of Sanford) on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday
from 1: 30 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m in the Marlatt
Memorial Chapel. Cremation to follow. Final resting place St.
James Cemetery in Toronto. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired,
the family would appreciate memorial donations to be made to
the Hamilton and District Ostomy Association or The Church of the
Ascension. Heaven is surely a brighter place today. A warm and
gentle soul has passed and we will miss you. While we mourn her
loss, we are comforted by the knowledge that she has found her
place in peace. Mum, you left us a legacy of love and decency
which will guide us through our lives. If the value of life can
be measured in lives touched and memories left behind, you were
wealthy beyond compare. Always a wonderful lady, we will live
by your example and hold you in our hearts.
We love you and will miss you Mummy-O!

(Rev. 21: 4) In loving memory of my beloved husband and best friend,
Jose DE JESUS,
March▼ 7, 1928-November 19, 2004 We took our vows
together Said, "Till death do us part", But when God came and
took your hand My whole world fell apart. No one knows the heartache
I try so hard to hide, Only God knows how many times I've broken
down and cried. When I look back upon our lives One of the things
that makes me glad, That you chose me to share with you The precious
years we had. I will love you forever, Emilia

In loving memory of our father and grandfather Jose DE
JESUS,
November 19, 2004 Our lives go on without you But nothing is
the same, We have to hide our heartaches When someone speaks
your name. Sad are the hearts that love you Silent the tears
that fall, Living our hearts without you Is the hardest part
of all. You did so many things for us Your heart was kind and
true, And when we needed someone We could always count on you.
The special years will not return When we were all together,
But with the love within our hearts You will walk with us forever.
In our hearts your memory lingers, there is not a day that we
do not think of you, deeply missed by all your children and grandchildren.
