JAQUES, Howard Carleton
Howard Carleton JAQUES, in his 84th year, passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre-University Campus on Monday, January 10, 2005. He will be lovingly remembered, sorrowfully missed, and forever cherished by his wife of 58 years, Vivian Louise (née RITCHIE.) Best friend and father to Leigh and Susan of London, Dennis and Kathy of Windsor, Cindy and David LITTLE of Glencoe. Devoted grandfather to Todd (Wendy), Stefanie (Chad), Ashley and Grant. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Howard was an Royal Canadian Air Force pilot during World War 2 and returned home to marry and begin his 33 year career with London Life Insurance Company, in Windsor and then London. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Victory Branch #317. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at London Health Sciences Centre for their special care during Howard's illness. His life will be celebrated on Friday, January 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to service at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Canadian Diabetes Association or The Church of the Transfiguration would be gratefully appreciated. Ken, a resident of Bothwell, passed away peacefully at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the age of 62. Beloved father of Sherry and Jim FLEMING/FLEMMING of Fergus, Doris Marie and Gord SMITH of Dresden, Marcy and Ben ADDLEY of Brampton, Cory and Niki McMASTER of Ridgetown. Loving grandpa of Theresa (Paul), Tabitha (Larry), Kyla, Jami, Ean, Eric, Megan, Zac, Josh, Jessica, Tabitha, Kennedy, Courtney, Wesley and Mackenzie. Also survived by Sharron JOHNSON and Eve WELCH. Predeceased by his parents Gert and Roy McMASTER, their family Vonda SIMMERS and Don McMASTER and man's best friend "Bart." The McMASTER family will receive Friends at the Badder and Robinson Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 211 Elm Street, Bothwell on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. with Elder Merv JAQUES of the Community of Christ officiating. Interment Bothwell Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society Chatham-Kent Branch, or the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #252, Bothwell. Beloved husband of Phyllis Jean DAWKINS (née EILERTSON) and former husband of Margaret L. DAWKINS (née STEIN.) Dear father of Dr. Reed DAWKINS (Linda McKAY), Robin WRIGHT (Ron WRIGHT) and Dalton DAWKINS (Mary Lynn JAQUES). WINEGARD, Elizabeth Latham (née JAQUES)
The family of Elizabeth WINEGARD sadly announces her peaceful passing at her home Guelph, March 12, 2005. Born into the family of the Reverend Ernest and Maye JAQUES, Elizabeth and her five brothers and sisters grew up on the Six Nations Reserve near Caledonia, Ontario. After graduating from the University of Toronto, she married fellow Caledonian Bill WINEGARD, and over the next few years they had their three children, Bill, Charles and Kathryn. Kathryn's death from cancer in 1999 was the greatest sorrow of Elizabeth's life. Left to mourn, but also to celebrate her life, are Elizabeth's devoted husband, the Honourable William C. WINEGARD, P.C., O.C., her sons Bill (Sandra LEPPAN) and Charles (Marian,) her six grandchildren, Casey (Owen LESSARD,) Kelly (Michael MILNE,) Tim (Tia WEST,) L.D. (Dana VANDERAA,) Brynn and Liam, and her great grandchildren Madison, Mason and Tanner. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, her brother Spence JAQUES and his wife Matilda, her sister Margaret and her husband Harold NICKLE, her daughter Kathryn, and her granddaughter Laine. She will be greatly missed by her brothers John (Harriet) and Bob JAQUES, her sister Susan (Allen COOK,) her brother-in-law John (Doris) WINEGARD, as well as her many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. Special thanks to the outstanding professionals who supported Elizabeth and her family during her long illness and who eased her final years: Dr. Jennifer CASPERS and the employees of the agencies of Robertson Brown and H.L.O. and we are especially grateful to Margaret VANDERWOUDE who was her principle care giver for the past 6 1/2 years. The family will welcome Friends and family at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph, Tuesday (2-4 and 7-9 p.m.) and Wednesday (2-4 p.m.). Elizabeth's funeral service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich Street, Guelph, Thursday, March 17, 2005, at 2 p.m..
