For over thirty years Carole was a pioneer and innovator in her
chosen profession of simultaneous interpretation conference organization,
in Canada, and internationally, promoting, by example, and through
her company, InterpretCan, excellence and professionalism, while
always extending a helping hand to aspiring new colleagues. Remembered
forever for her generous heart, incredible strength, and vision,
Carole earned the respect of her colleagues and was an inspiration
to everyone she met. Converting adversity into opportunity, Carole
built a professional career through sheer ability, persistence
and tenacity after coming to Canada as a new immigrant, balancing
the roles devoted wife, loving mother and business professional
at the highest levels of Canadian business and government. A
funeral service will be held on Thursday January 27, 2005 at
the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue, Ottawa, (corner
of Smyth Road) at 1: 30 pm o'clock. Interment to follow at the
New Jewish Cemetery (Osgoode). Shiva at 1870 Barnhart Place,
Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial
