Teen without seatbelt killed in 401 rollover
Canadian Press, Tuesday, June 14, 2005, Page A15
A Pakistani girl who was on vacation in Toronto died during a
crash on Highway 401 yesterday.
Seventeen-year-old Marina
INAM was killed yesterday morning when
a minivan she was riding in went out of control.
Ontario Provincial Police said the girl, who was not wearing
a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle, which then rolled on
top of her.
The Ontario Provincial Police said the crash happened when the
minivan was changing lanes, hit another vehicle, a concrete barrier
and then flipped over.
The teenage driver of the minivan and another passenger were
not seriously hurt.
It was the second deadly crash on Highway 401 in the past couple
of days in which the victims were not wearing seatbelts.
Three women died on the weekend when their van veered into a
ditch near Guelph and flipped several times.
