Peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, October 24th, 2005
in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Hisaye. Dear father of Donald
(the late Ruth;) Christine (Henry
ICHIYEN) and Deborah
NIIYA.
Cherished grandfather of Marcia (Cathal); Christopher (Grace),
Allison, Jay (Sara), Patrick (Yumiko), Kyle, Richard and Matthew.
Fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren Aisling and Tyller
and his family in Hiroshima, Japan. Friends will be received
at the "Scarborough Chapel" of McDougall and Brown, 2900 Kingston
Road (one block east of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-4656) on Friday,
October 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A complete chapel service
will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired
memorial donations made to Momiji Seniors Centre, Toronto Japanese
United Church or Trilogy Long Term Care would be greatly appreciated.
