HUYBERS, Carolyn (née SMITS)
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home in Wyoming, on Monday, August 1, 2005. Carolyn HUYBERS (née SMITS,) born in Holland on February 28, 1920. Carolyn, Tony and three small children immigrated to Canada in 1951 and farmed in Lambton County until their retirement to Wyoming in 1984. Carolyn is the beloved wife of Tony, having celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on July 10, 2005. She is the loving mother of Joanne and Jack ROMBOUTS of Watford, John and Jenny HUYBERS of Courtright, Maria and Joe GORMLEY of Wallaceburg, Helen and Paul DEGROOT of Sebringville, Margaret and Adrian VENDENBERG of Forest, Agnes and Jack DEJONG of Monkton, Carol and Henk GOERTZ of Arkona, the late Tony (1999) and Mary HUYBERS of Camlachie, Ramona and Tom BERKERS of Wyoming and Mike and Lillis HUYBERS of Wyoming. Cherished grandmother of 30 grandchildren, including the late Eric DEGROOT (1981) and Lisa GORMLEY (1999) and 22 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a brother, Adrian and Kay SMITS of Oakville and predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters, including Catharina and John HUYBERS and Henry TOPS in Canada. Visitors will be received at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where prayers will be offered at 8: 45 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Philip's Church, Petrolia, on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. with Father Stephen SAVEL as celebrant. Private family interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wyoming. Beloved husband of Patricia HUYGE (nee: HARE.) Loving father of Louise HUYGE, London; Daniel HUYGE (Susie,) R.R.#2, Otterville; Rene HUYGE, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Peter HUYGE, Delhi and the Late Albert Paul HUYGE Jr. (2003.) Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren: Loretta SIOEN (Michael), Lindsey, Philip, Ashley, Barbara, Christine, Caroline and Colleen and two great-grandchildren: Noah and Eric. Dear brother of Madeline BAILEY, Leamington. Also survived by three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lyntje HUYGEN, age 82, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Monday, April 18, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband Christiaan HUYGEN April 16, 1998, by a son Otto HUYGEN May 16, 1998 and by a great grand_son Kaleb HUYGEN May 19, 2001. She is the loving mother of Maree and Bill GRAHAM, John HUYGEN and Betty, daugther-inlaw Agnes and John CLAUS, Anne and Clarence VEENSTRA and Joe HUYGEN. She will be sadly missed by her 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was a member of The Christian Reformed Church of Stratford. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Brydges entered into the eternal, Heavenly presence of Jesus Christ her Saviour, and joined with her loving husband and those gone before her. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Allan (Ulbe) ZIETSMA (July 3rd, 2001.) It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Peter MALLINOS. Peter passed away, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, October 9, 2005 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Peter leaves behind his loving wife Lynda and 2 children Lauri (Jim) MAITLAND and Michael (Danielle) MALLINOS, sisters Gloria (Danny) DIACOS, Fanny (Nick) KATARAS, and brothers Robert (Christine) MALLINOS and Bill (Mary) MALLINOS. Peter will also be sadly missed by his two granddaughters Kristina and Jessica MAITLAND. Few people can impact the lives of others the way Peter did. His presence in our lives, his generosity, and his memory will be forever remembered. Peter's family would like to thank both the Granite Club and its members, for their support and thoughts over the past 6 months, as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Sunnybrook Hospital, and a special thank you to Dr. HUYHN.
