time in the importance of Nutrition in medicine and child development.
She was head of the Dietetic and Food Services Department of
the Lakeshore General Hospital, Pointe Claire, Québec, for many
years. She enriched the lives of many with her deep compassion,
aesthetic sensitivity and love of nature. Funeral service was
held Sunday, February 20 at St. George the Martyr Church, Victoria,
British Columbia, complete with piper and liturgy of Iona. Interment
of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in the
family plot at Riverside Cemetery, Wallaceburg, Ontario. Donations

On Sunday, August 7, 2005 after a short illness, at home, surrounded
by his loving family. A beloved husband, adored father and treasured
friend, Bill was an extraordinary gentleman of great generosity,
wit and charm. A lifelong journalist, he began his distinguished
career with a summer job on the Kitchener Waterloo Record, then
went on to work for Canadian Press in Toronto, Vancouver and
New York, where he covered the United Nations. In the 1950's
he left New York for Reuters in London, England where he spent
several years on the North American Desk.
In 1960, Bill returned to Canada and began his long career at
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Television, serving as executive
producer of news specials with foreign assignments that sent
him to Vietnam, Russia, Europe and South Africa. Over the years
he executive produced a variety of documentaries and current
affairs programming including Ombudsman and Marketplace. His
last assignment was Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's The Journal,
where he had the great pleasure of working with an outstanding
group of Canadian journalists.
Bill will be deeply missed by his dear brother Capt. John
HARCOURT,
his sister-in-law Joan, an extended family of nieces and nephews
and many cherished life long Friends.

people in the Homes for Special Care all his life. He owned and
operated KW Underhill Residential Home in Waterloo and was a
valued friend and confidant to many. He raised Standard Bred
Horses. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer
on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will
be held on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment, Dunboyne

of Karen BROWN and her husband Ron of Wallacetown and their children,
Tanya, Darryl and Angela. Also fondly remembered by several brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son-in-law,

Mr.
HARRISON was a retired Toronto,
Ontario elementary school teacher. He was a member of Saint John's
Presbyterian Church, Port Stanley where he was the organist for
many years. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home,
118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Thursday evening from 7-9
p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 11: 00
a.m. Interment in Aylmer Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
If so desired, memorial donations to Saint John's Presbyterian
Church, Port Stanley or the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital
Foundation will be appreciated.
