Passed away on Tuesday, March 29th, 2005 at St. Joseph's Health Centre in her 79th year. Mary, beloved wife of Yoichiro "George" for over 59 years. Loving mother of Mabel and her husband Isao NAMIKI, Dianne and her husband Robert LIMMER and Lorna SHUTTER. Cherished grandma of Kenji, Lena (Dave), Elisa (Joe), Peter and Kenny. Survived by her loving brothers Isamu (Yoshi) HONKAWA and Takazo (Sachi) HONKAWA and sister Kimiye (Lloyd) HIRABAYASHI. Friends may visit on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. He will be sadly missed by his long-time companion Barbara KNIGHTS, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sydney died peacefully surrounded by her children, flowers and beautiful music on her 97th birthday in Victoria, British Columbia. She was the daughter of Dr. Wm. HIRD and Ada MacDONNELL and wife of the late Albert George PRICE. Mother of Dr. Sydney PRICE- SPARLING (Dr. Jim), Karen CHAPPLE (the late Clem), and Dr. Stephen PRICE (Purnima). Grandmother of Karen, Mathew, Will, Sydney Maria, Elspeth, Julius and Alexandra. Greatgrandmother of Jack, Tessa, Abigail, Sarah, Ella, Carson, Aiden, and Wyatt. Beloved by extended family and Friends in Montreal, Toronto, Sweden, Wallaceburg and Victoria, as well as by her recent caregivers at St. Charles Manor. A graduate of University College, University of Toronto, with a B.A. (Hons. Food Science), she was 75 years ahead of her time in the importance of Nutrition in medicine and child development. She was head of the Dietetic and Food Services Department of the Lakeshore General Hospital, Pointe Claire, Québec, for many years. She enriched the lives of many with her deep compassion, aesthetic sensitivity and love of nature. Funeral service was held Sunday, February 20 at St. George the Martyr Church, Victoria, British Columbia, complete with piper and liturgy of Iona. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in the family plot at Riverside Cemetery, Wallaceburg, Ontario. On Sunday, August 7, 2005 after a short illness, at home, surrounded by his loving family. A beloved husband, adored father and treasured friend, Bill was an extraordinary gentleman of great generosity, wit and charm. A lifelong journalist, he began his distinguished career with a summer job on the Kitchener Waterloo Record, then went on to work for Canadian Press in Toronto, Vancouver and New York, where he covered the United Nations. In the 1950's he left New York for Reuters in London, England where he spent several years on the North American Desk.
In 1960, Bill returned to Canada and began his long career at Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Television, serving as executive producer of news specials with foreign assignments that sent him to Vietnam, Russia, Europe and South Africa. Over the years he executive produced a variety of documentaries and current affairs programming including Ombudsman and Marketplace. His last assignment was Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's The Journal, where he had the great pleasure of working with an outstanding group of Canadian journalists.
Bill will be deeply missed by his dear brother Capt. John HARCOURT, his sister-in-law Joan, an extended family of nieces and nephews and many cherished life long Friends.

Predeceased by his son-in-law, Michael MOORHOUSE and by a brother, George HARRISON. Born in Malahide Twp., Ontario, July 16, 1920, son of the late Russell and Molly (CHUTE) HARRISON. Mr. HARRISON was a retired Toronto, Ontario elementary school teacher. He was a member of Saint John's Presbyterian Church, Port Stanley where he was the organist for many years. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in Aylmer Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, memorial donations to Saint John's Presbyterian Church, Port Stanley or the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation will be appreciated.
