It is with a great sense of loss that her family announces Gloria's
death after a difficult, but courageous battle with metastatic
melanoma, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville on Sunday, May
8, 2005. Predeceased by her cherished husband Reuben Fraser
BELL.
She will be greatly missed by daughter Barbara and her husband
Dan and son James and his wife Rosanne. She was a loving grandmother
to Brian and his wife Kelly, Angela, Nathan, Erica, Cory and
great-grand_son Caleb. Relatives and Friends will be received
at the McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home Ltd., 152 King St. E.,
Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from 12: 00 p.m.
until the time of service in the chapel at 1: 00 p.m. Interment
Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Gloria's memory made to 'Oshawa General Hospital Foundation'
- New Durham Regional Cancer Centre, the Canadian Cancer Society
or Childcare Plus (P.A.O.C.) would be appreciated. Gloria's family
wishes to acknowledge the many healthcare professionals of Lakeridge
Health who cared for Gloria during her illness including the
Oncology Department, Emergency staff, Palliative Care Team, Hospitalists
and Health Care Team of 6F Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, and
the Health Care Team of Continuing Care Lakeridge Health Corp.
Bowmanville, as well as other staff and volunteers she encountered
along the way. Your ongoing professionalism, care and compassion
have been greatly appreciated. You are all so valuable and make

Jr., Leonora, Jose, and Alberto. She was a leader in the Filipino
community, a loving example, an inspiration and a blessing to
all those who knew her. Family and Friends will be received at

of Kennedy Rd.) on Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15 from

Nicholas, Katherine, Natasha, Jeremy, Dean, and Ethan; and great-grandfather
of Madeline, Elliot, Holly and Veronica.
He was born on July 8th, 1914 in Toronto, the
son of the late
John Joseph and Gertrude
DUGGAN; always the protective big brother
of Harold (deceased), Constance (deceased) and Phyllis.
Jack was awarded the D.F.C. during his service with the Royal
Canadian Air Force Bomber Command during World War 2. He was
an honorary member of the Air Cadet League of Canada, Past Chairperson
of the Toronto Board of Trade Club, member of the Air Crew Association
and the Royal Canadian Air Force Association.
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fire Detection Devices
and Electronic Surveillance Corporation he remained active in
the day-to-day operations until the end. He was a respected member
of the business community, and remained involved in the Canadian
Fire Alarm Association, National Fire Protection Association,
and the Underwriters Laboratories.
The family will receive Friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164
Sheppard Ave. East (east of Kennedy) on Thursday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9. Funeral Services will be held at Saint Johns United
Church, 2 Nobert Road, Scarborough on Friday, at 1: 30 p.m.
Donations to the Saint Johns U.C. Sanctuary Fund, in Jack's memory
