BELL, Gloria Edith (née HIPGRAVE)
It is with a great sense of loss that her family announces Gloria's death after a difficult, but courageous battle with metastatic melanoma, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville on Sunday, May 8, 2005. Predeceased by her cherished husband Reuben Fraser BELL. She will be greatly missed by daughter Barbara and her husband Dan and son James and his wife Rosanne. She was a loving grandmother to Brian and his wife Kelly, Angela, Nathan, Erica, Cory and great-grand_son Caleb. Relatives and Friends will be received at the McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home Ltd., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from 12: 00 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory made to 'Oshawa General Hospital Foundation' - New Durham Regional Cancer Centre, the Canadian Cancer Society or Childcare Plus (P.A.O.C.) would be appreciated. Gloria's family wishes to acknowledge the many healthcare professionals of Lakeridge Health who cared for Gloria during her illness including the Oncology Department, Emergency staff, Palliative Care Team, Hospitalists and Health Care Team of 6F Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, and the Health Care Team of Continuing Care Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville, as well as other staff and volunteers she encountered along the way. Your ongoing professionalism, care and compassion have been greatly appreciated. You are all so valuable and make the difference. Thank you.

Suddenly as a result of a motorcycle accident in London, Ontario. John BLAKE in his 39th year passed away on Friday September 9, 2005. Will be sadly missed by his mother Pat BYE and by his father Tim BLAKE and their spouses Wayne BYE and Sue BLAKE. Loving brother of Paula and her husband Paul MERRICK, Taryn and her husband Sean HIPKISS. Cherished uncle to Caitlin, Blake and Liam. Nephew to Suzanne SYMSYK. Cousin to Meghan, Krystyn and Michael. Dear step-brother to Kevin and Chris STREET. Will be sadly missed by his many Friends and family. John was a dedicated employee to Formet Industries in Saint Thomas, Ontario. He prided himself on his expertise in robotics. John's family and Friends will always remember his compassion, strength and love of life. Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, April 10, 2005. Beloved wife of Atty. Cipriano REY HIPOLITO, and lovingly remembered by her children Emmanuel, Cipriano Jr., Generosa, Victoria, Maria, Francis, Rico and their families. Daughter of Dr. Alfredo Pio DE RODA and Generosa Alonso, and eldest sister to Concordia, Alfredo Jr., Leonora, Jose, and Alberto. She was a leader in the Filipino community, a loving example, an inspiration and a blessing to all those who knew her. Family and Friends will be received at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15 from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Aidan Roman Catholic Church, 3501 Finch Ave. E. (east of Warden Ave.) on Saturday, April 16 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, all monetary donations will be directed to a favourite charity of Pacita's, by her family. At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, February 26th, R. Bruce GRIPTON of Caradoc Township, in his 60th year. Loving husband to Nancy. Will be remembered by children Janice (Mike) GRIPTON- MUYLAERT, Scott (Connie STIFF) and Christine. Loving grandfather to Ben. Sisters Earlene MONKMAN (Ralph) and Donna LIMON (Bob.) Will be missed by sisters and brothers in law Carolyn and Ray GIBSON, Mary Ann and Doug HIPPLE, Bud and Diane LAW. Also missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Bruce was a proud member of the London Chapter of "The Men of Accord" Visitation will be held from the Denning Bros. Funeral Home in Strathroy on Tuesday, March 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Memorial Service will be held from the chapel on Wednesday, March 2nd at 1: 30 pm with Reverend Thelma PERRY officiating. Interment to follow at the Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society of Harmonize for Speech, would be greatly appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Bruce.

Passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 2, 2005. Beloved husband of Rita (née LANG,) and (predeceased) Helen (nee TRANTER.) He was the loving father of Elizabeth, Douglas (deceased,) David, Patricia and Gordon; and a loving stepfather to Cynthia and Michael HIPSON. He was the proud grandfather of Matthew, Miranda, Portia, Christopher, Kathleen, Kristin, Ashleigh, Alexander, Nicholas, Katherine, Natasha, Jeremy, Dean, and Ethan; and great-grandfather of Madeline, Elliot, Holly and Veronica.
He was born on July 8th, 1914 in Toronto, the son of the late John Joseph and Gertrude DUGGAN; always the protective big brother of Harold (deceased), Constance (deceased) and Phyllis.
Jack was awarded the D.F.C. during his service with the Royal Canadian Air Force Bomber Command during World War 2. He was an honorary member of the Air Cadet League of Canada, Past Chairperson of the Toronto Board of Trade Club, member of the Air Crew Association and the Royal Canadian Air Force Association.
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fire Detection Devices and Electronic Surveillance Corporation he remained active in the day-to-day operations until the end. He was a respected member of the business community, and remained involved in the Canadian Fire Alarm Association, National Fire Protection Association, and the Underwriters Laboratories.
The family will receive Friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East (east of Kennedy) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Services will be held at Saint Johns United Church, 2 Nobert Road, Scarborough on Friday, at 1: 30 p.m.
Donations to the Saint Johns U.C. Sanctuary Fund, in Jack's memory would be gratefully received.

Passed away at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 20, 2005, in his 93rd year. Robert of Orillia, beloved husband of the late Betty (née CAINE) and the late Freda (nee HARDING.) Loving father of Barbara GOLDING and husband Douglas of Port Sydney, the late Ruth ELGIE and surviving husband Wallace of Orillia, the late David TYSON. Dear grandfather of Laura and John GREEN of Orillia, Lynne and Tony CLEMENT of Brampton, Stephen and Lori ELGIE of Canmore, Alberta, John and Dawn GOLDING of Mississauga, Lee-Anne and John HIPWELL of Barrie and great-grandfather of eight. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. Mr. TYSON was born in Cleveland, Ohio and immigrated to Canada in 1932. He was employed by Tremco Ltd. retiring in 1977 after 46 years. He was an Honorary Member of the Toronto Board of Trade and the Toronto Board of Trade Club.
