HIDAKA, Tsuyoshi " Tom"
Age 62. After a brief illness, passed away at Toronto East General Hospital, on February 25, 2005. Loving husband of Kathy (nee HUNG, Ling Fai,) and wonderful father to Terumi (Terry,) Naomi and Kiyomi. Also survived by one brother in Canada and two brothers in Japan. Visitation at Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. East, Scarborough, Ontario, Monday, February 28th from 5: 00 p.m.-9: 00 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel at Highland Funeral Home at 11: 00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1st, followed by interment at Highland Memory Gardens, 33 Memory Gardens Lane, North York. His sense of humour and caring for others will be missed by all.

INGA, Benzo Rodin Reategui (April 24, 1915 - January 19, 2005)
It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Benzo Rodin Reategui INGA at 3: 50 p.m., at Punchana Regional Hospital in Iquitos, Peru, after a brief illness with pneumonia and a long battle with stomach ulcers. Benzo was in his 90th year. Benzo was born in Yurimaguas, Peru, and a beloved son of Francisco Reategui HIDALGO (predeceased) and Micaela Inga RIVERA (predeceased 1971.) Benzo had one younger brother, Victor Del Castillo INGA (predeceased 1974.) Benzo was the beloved husband of a caring and devoted wife Rosa Noemi Ruiz PENA for 66 years. A dear father who will be sadly missed by Ricardo (Ana Victoria), Lima; Graciela, Iquitos; Ana Maria, Lima; Nora (predeceased 1985), Iquitos; Tuli (Liberato) PAREDES, Iquitos; Zadith (Mariano) BURGA, Iquitos; Benzo GASPAR (Silvia), Iquitos; Clara (Ronald J.) FOX, Toronto; and Ivonne, Madrid, Spain. Dearest grandfather who will be fondly remembered by Jose, Jessy, Carol, Wieslawa, Luis, Rosana, Nair (Juan) HUAMAN, Mariano, Percy, Benzo Javier, Loreta (Willy) GARCIA, Omar, Ronald A., Olivia, Michelle, and Cathy. Great-grandfather of dearest Fiorella, Franco, Ana Rafaela, Ana Lucia, and Ana Sofia. Benzo was the owner of a highly popular and successful ice cream, plus refreshment business in Iquitos. He developed a unique ice cream flavour from the fruit of the Aguaje tree. Benzo owned and operated with his family, a general convenience store and tavern. He also owned and rented nine one-bedroom apartments. Benzo toiled from before sun up to after sun down every day jointly with Rosa to care for and raise their nine adoring children. He loved all of his extended family, however he refused to travel because Benzo believed that "if men were meant to fly, we would have been born with wings." He was laid to rest on January 20, 2005 at 5: 00 p.m. at the San Miguel Arcangel Cemetery in Iquitos, Peru. Benzo: We pray and know that you are now safely in the care of our Lord Jesus Christ. Life must go on without you, but it will never be the same. You will be forever remembered, never forgotten but forever missed. From all of your family in North America, South America and Spain. Eileen CREIGHTON, formerly of Cannington, was the beloved wife of the late George HIDER (1979.) Loving mother of Wayne and his wife Llarian HIDER and Larraine (Judy) and her husband Jim WEMYSS, all of Cannington. Cherished and loved grandmother of Kelly (Mark) HORSLEY of Orangeville, Jennifer (Chris) HAJT of Portland, Maine, Melissa (Doug) MORRISON of Fenelon Falls and Erin WEMYSS of Toronto. Loving great-grandmother of Cameron, Emma and Landon. Dear sister of Bruce CREIGHTON of Beaverton and Bob (Audrey) CREIGHTON of Cannington. Dearly remembered by many nieces and nephews. MENZIES, A. Alexander " Sandy," (PhD.Econ)
Born in Fergus, Ontario in 1940, Sandy died in Vancouver February 8, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Formerly of Ottawa he is survived by his wife and best friend Susan (MEREDITH.) Beloved brother of Heather BEECROFT (Toronto,) uncle of Christopher BEECROFT, brother-in-law to Leslie LEWIN, Deborah MacDOUGALL, Hilary MEREDITH, David MEREDITH, Jocelyn HIDI, Michael MEREDITH and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Albert A. and Helen I. (MUIR) MENZIES. Educator, public servant, champion horse breeder and community volunteer "Sandy" will be missed by many Friends and relatives, Merediths and Menzies alike. Thanks to Dr. Brian Calvin and Dr. Michael Kenyon of Nanaimo and the British Columbia Transplant team for their compassionate care. Sandy's desire for a private cremation has been respected.
