BURSHTYNSKI, William Michael Johnson Tony
Born in St. Paul, Alberta, on October 17th, 1937 Bill was the
youngest son of Anna and William
BURSHTYNSKI who had named him
Tony. Tony attended School and Church in St. Vincent near their
homestead until the autumn of 1947 when the family moved to Langley,
British Columbia and later Vancouver. When Tony was 20 he started
a new life. He changed his name to William (after his father),
and Michael John (after his brothers). He traveled to eastern
Canada and quietly worked on the Pipe Line in Sudbury and North
Bay. He settled in Kingston where he became a successful business
man. He met Loretta
LEGAULT in Renfrew and they had two children,
Timothy and Tracy. In 1968 he brought his family to Alberta where
he owned AllWest Properties in Edmonton. Later in 1980 he developed
property in Winnipeg working steadily there, 25 years, until
retiring to The Bentley in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He will be
remembered as courageous and unwavering. In his final days he
spoke for the first time of the birth family he left behind 50
years earlier (leaving us a legacy) and he yearned to return
out west again. William died April 5th 2005 in the Intensive
