MILLER, George Hugh Sr.
Retired Senior Vice-President for Canada of Prudential Assurance of England.
George Hugh MILLER Sr. of St. Andrews, New Brunswick passed away quietly on Saturday, November 12th 2005 at the Passamaquoddy Lodge after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. His beloved wife of 63 years, Pauline MITCHELL, was by his side.
Born in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late John and Minnie Gardiner MILLER. He was predeceased by his sister, Mildred GREENLAW.
He is warmly remembered by his family, Hugh and Judith (Waterloo, Ontario), Carolyn and Jacques (Cannes, France). For Ian and Liisa (Ottawa), Bruce and Becky (Oakville), Sean (Cannes), and Manuel GUMBAU (Montreal,) " Grandfather," "pepe Georges" was and is a vital part of their lives. He waited eagerly for his first great granddaughter, Ella (Ottawa). His many Friends and extended family from Campobello Island and around the world, all have delighted in memories of George. They went to him often for songs, poems, letters and speeches.
George was a graduate of Sir George Williams University in Montreal (B.A., B.Com.). Retired Senior-Vice President for Canada of Prudential Assurance of England, he thoroughly enjoyed his 45 years with the company in Montreal and Waterloo.
Over many years, as an active volunteer, George enriched his communities and his church. All his life, he was an ardent sportsman on tennis courts, golf courses and hockey and curling rinks.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Passamaquoddy Lodge for their wonderful care and kindness.
Resting at Wesley United Church, St. Andrews, with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday 2 p.m. at Wesley United Church, with Reverend Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Andrews Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations to Passamaquoddy Lodge or the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated. VALERIOTE, Elsa Teresa (née TESSARO)
Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, January 21, 2005, at the Guelph General Hospital. Elsa (née TESSARO) VALERIOTE, in her 81st year, beloved wife of Pacifico VALERIOTE. Loving mother of Peter and his wife Gwen of Guelph; Matthew and his wife Theresa HARPER of Dundas; Elizabeth and her husband Neil HEEBNER of Guelph and Sandra and her husband Frank WISSMACH of Kitchener. Wonderful grandmother to Andrea and Nicholas VALERIOTE Jonathan and Bill VALERIOTE; Anthony and Mark HEEBNER; and Christopher and Valerie WISSMACH. Predeceased by her mother and father, Anthony TESSARO and Marcellina (née STECCA.) Dear sister of the late Dino TESSARO and his wife Vilma of Stoney Creek; Eva FRANCESCHINI and her late husband Albert of Mississauga; Bruno TESSARO and his wife Mary; Emma HOHENADEL and her husband James, all of Guelph, and Bruna GUMIENIAK and her late husband Matthew of Mississauga. Elsa will be missed by all of her nieces and nephews as well as Friends and neighbours.
We would like to thank all of our family and Friends for the love, support and Friendship they gave to Elsa. Special thanks to Guelph C.C.A.C., to Maria and Nancy from the Red Cross Homemakers and to Sharon. Thank you also to the Guelph General Hospital 4th Floor nursing staff, emergency room staff and Dr. M. DORE for the excellent care given to Elsa.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and son Funeral Home "Hart Chapel", 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday morning, January 25th, to St. John's Church, 45 Victoria Road North, Guelph, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by cremation. Vigil for Elsa on Monday afternoon at 3: 30 o'clock. Reception following the Funeral Mass at Gilbert MacIntyre and son Funeral Home "Hart Chapel". Elsa's family would appreciate memorial contributions made to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, where they will be used to benefit stroke patients. (Cards available at the funeral home).

Our little prince, Braxis John Vincent GUMINY entered the world on Monday, October 17, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Unexpectedly he was taken from us on Tuesday, October 25, 2005. Forever loved son of Willow GALERA and Jamie GUMINY. Greatly missed by big brothers Julius and James. Dearest grand_son of Ruth Anne and Vince GALERA and Tammi and John MUSZKA. Braxis will be lovingly remembered by all his family. The family will receive Friends and relatives at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London, for visitation on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 3 p.m. Cremation Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
