GEDCKE, James Wilford Arthur
Peacefully passed into the presence of God, at Summit Place on Saturday, April 23rd, 2005. James GEDCKE of Owen Sound in his 89th year. Husband of the late Thelma (née LEGGETTE.) Dear father of Al GEDCKE and his wife Sharron, Reverend Austin GEDCKE and his wife Marie all of Owen Sound, Carole and her husband Bud ADAM/ADAMS of Meaford and Bonnie and her husband Dave CARTER of Wiarton. Lovingly remembered by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Also survived by two step-sisters Pauline and Patricia and two step-brothers Michael and Peter all of Australia and an aunt and uncle Rene and Lloyd SIMPSON of Hamilton. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home (376-3710) for visiting on Monday evening from 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at Rockcliffe Gospel Temple 10 4th Avenue West, Owen Sound on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock with visiting at the church from 10: 00 a.m. until service time. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Rockcliffe Gospel Temple Missions Fund. WOODFORD, the beloved daughter of the late Horace WOODFORD and his late wife, Harriet (née GEDDES.) The loving sister of Edith. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, (Bert) Hubert, Wesley and George and by her sisters, Eileen BROADHEAD, Eunice SABATINI, Marguerite, Constance LEET, Ruth KRAMER and Florence. Friends may call at the Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 11: 00 to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday afternoon, at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Robert John " Red" GEDDES passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at Marian Villa on Sunday, January 16, 2005. Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Noreen Anne GEDDES (2001.) Loving father of Denice and Don FORREST and Bob and Lynda GEDDES. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Dana MORNINGSTAR (Jeff,) Greg FORREST, Jesse FORREST, Michael GEDDES and Christopher GEDDES (Evi). Great-grandpa will be missed by Danica and Dale MORNINGSTAR, Danielle, Madeline and John GEDDES and their mother Kristine. The family announces with sorrow his death on Wednesday July 6, 2005 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 75. Survived by his wife Helen May FLEMING/FLEMMING (REID,) his daughter Deanna Lynn McCHRISTIE (Kevin,) his sons John Clarke FLEMING/FLEMMING (Debbie,) and Anthony Edwin FLEMING/FLEMMING (Sharon,) his grandchildren Branden, Adam (Pam) and Raven, his greatgrandchild Reilly, his brother Doug FLEMING/FLEMMING (Shirley,) his brother-in-law Jack REID (Anne) and his sister-in-law Dolly THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (Bruce.) He will be missed by his dog, his best friend Buddy. Predeceased by his mother Susan FLEMING/FLEMMING (GEDDES) his father John FLEMING/FLEMMING and his sisters Frances GRAHAM and Lois HIGGINS.
Edwin loved the outdoors, especially his camp at Minakwa Lodge, where he enjoyed fishing. He retired from Kidd Creek Mine in 1988 where he worked as a Millwright. A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Daffodil Terrace in Sudbury or to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Also survived by grandchildren Jared, Lauren and Brian. John was lovingly supported by his sisters (Bernice) and Wilfred MANN, (Marie) and Alec VOICIN, (Shirley) and Cyril WISE and his brother (Grant) and Jean McNAIR. Predeceased by his brothers Ross, Scott and David.
