Passed away at Williams Lake Hospital, British Columbia on March 13, 2005, Maurice Neil SMITH, age 79, formerly of Dresden. Beloved husband of the late Janet SMITH. Devoted father of Tracy (Mark) and Trevor (Tamara). Loving Grandpa to five grandchildren. son of the late John and Annie SMITH of Turnerville. Remembered by brother Homer SMITH (Sally) of Duncan, British Columbia and sisters Inez HAY of Victoria, British Columbia, Mary WILLIAMS (Ross) and Janet MILLARD (Dave) both of Chatham. Also loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Rhea FAY and brothers Gordon, Donald, Archie and Martin. Cremation with Memorial Service at a later date.

After a lengthy illness, Bruce Andrew LOCKHART of London passed away on Wednesday, September 28th, 2005 at the age of 68. Born at Dormandale Farm, Ailsa Craig on June 27, 1937. He was the son of the late James Edmund and Florence Irene (DORMAN) LOCKHART. Beloved husband of Yvonne (SEAMAN) LOCKHART for 48 years. Dear father of J. Harrison LOCKHART and his fiancée Henny STOEVELAAR and and James F. LOCKHART and his wife Alison all of London. Grandfather to Harrison's children - Shaun and his wife Evangeline, Amanda and her husband Scott CONLEY, Christy, Jessica and Jakob. Grandfather to James' children - Brittany and Zachary. Great-grandfather to Nathan and Naomi. Dear brother to Stella and her husband Melvin FINKBEINER. Dear brother-in-law to Vivian and her husband Barry FAY. Remembered by nephews, Douglas FINKBEINER and his wife Heather of Canton, Michigan and Darren FINKBEINER and his wife Heather of Burlington, Ontario and their children. Also remembered by his nieces, Carolyn and her husband Dennis KIRK and Shari Ray and Peter MASTIN of Gananoque and all the children. Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street (between Waterloo and Colborne Street) on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at London Gospel Temple, 288 Commissioners Road West on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Robert SMITH officiating. At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Friday, December 2, 2005, Vivian E. (SEAMAN) FAY of London, in her 76th year, went peacefully to be with her Lord. Beloved wife of Barry FAY. Loving mother of Carolyn and Dennis KIRK and their children Justin, Joshua and Jacob all of London and Shari Ray and Peter MASTIN and grand_son Aaron all of Gananoque. Dear sister of Yvonne LOCKHART and sister-in-law Holly GRAY/GREY both of London. She will be dearly missed by us all. BEATTY, Gary
Beloved husband, father, brother, son and grandfather passed away peacefully at home, with his family, on Thursday, February 24th, 2005. Gary and Mary Lyn (FREDERICK) BEATTY were married on February 27, 1965 in Bracebridge where they made their home and raised their family. Gary was the loving son of Margaret BEATTY of Bracebridge, and brother of Gail and her husband Mike FAY of Aylmer, Quebec. Gary was the proud father of Kristan and her husband Joseph HAMON of Combermere, Erika and her husband Wesley KRANTZ of Chippawa, Jonathan and his wife Sandra of Brampton, Claire Ann of Bracebridge, and Aaron and his wife Marian of Guelph. He was the attentive grandfather of Andrew, Marissa, Joanna, Anthony, Isaac, Katrina and Francisco Hamon, Gwen and Aiden BEATTY, and Matthew BEATTY. Gary was born on January 1, 1942 in Bracebridge to Stan BEATTY and Margaret (FRENCH) BEATTY. He was predeceased by his older brother Wayne. When Gary wasn't 'keeping Muskoka warm,' he fully enjoyed many hobbies and passions ranging from jazz, flying, off-road performance rallying, vintage motor bikes, and sailing. He spent as much time as possible at the family cottage on Lake Muskoka, and in later years travelling to Mexico and Cuba. He will be remembered for his uncompromising loyalty to his Friends and family, his eagerness to take a risk, his quick intelligence and ready sense of fun, his integrity and empathy, and his active demonstration of how to live life well and passionately. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" in Bracebridge on Friday, February 25th from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, February 26th from 1-3 p.m. The memorial service will be at 3 p.m. in the Reynolds Chapel, followed by a reception at Saint Thomas Anglican Church Browning Hall. According to Gary's wishes, a celebration of his life will take place dockside sometime during the summer. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Ontario Special Olympics.

On April 29th, 2005 at Royal Victoria Hospital, in his 83rd year, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Beloved husband of Mary FAY and the late Jacqueline, dear father of Cheryl Ann LIVINGSTONE of West Vancouver, and Glenn Malcolm Thomas MacDONALD of St. Louis, Missouri, grandchildren Scott David LIVINGSTONE, Kelly Jacqueline JAMES, Brock Malcolm MacDONALD, and Leigh Jacqueline MacDONALD, great-granddaughter Ivy LIVINGSTONE, and sisters Margaret WESTERN and Dolores GOODMAN. He will be missed by his extended family, June, Peter, Michael, and Jennifer, who thought of Don as their own special father and grandfather. After a career with General Motors, Don was active in retirement in local organizations in London and Barrie. An avid watercolourist, he and Mary FAY operated the Studio Gallery in Midhurst for several years. Don's family wish to express their appreciation for the excellent care of Dr. G. BOND and all the Royal Victoria Hospital Oncology staff. Eileen also leaves to mourn her sisters Bridie FAY and Peggy MAGUIRE as well as many nieces, nephews and relatives in Ireland, England, Australia and the United States. In spite of all her best efforts, Delores (Dee) succumbed to cancer on Tuesday, July 19th, 2005, just 4 days prior to her 51st birthday. At her side were her loving husband Ron Murphy, mother Wally, sisters Marianne (David O'DELL,) Lisa (David FAY,) Doreen (Spence SAUNDERS) and Karol, brothers Peter (Lynn) and Willy (Colleen) and best friend Sherri TYLER, along with nieces, nephews and many other close Friends. Delores's quick sense of humour and graciousness will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched in many ways. Visitation to be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre - Mississauga, 1535 South Gateway Rd. (2 lights south of Eglinton at Dixie) on Thursday, July 21st from 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Service will be held Friday, July 22nd at 10: 00 a.m. followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, Tomken and Derry Rd. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of John in his 89th year, on Friday, July 8, 2005 at Toronto East General Hospital. Dearly beloved husband of Audrie for 63 years. Father of Gary (Cathy), Larry (Sheila), and special uncle of Kimberley FAYE. Loving grandfather of Sean, Stephen, Erika and Aaron. Brother of Elma LOCH. Fondly remembered by Audrie's brother Ted; her sisters, Billie and Norma and their respective families. John was a veteran of World War 2, Royal Canadian Navy, 1942-1945. Died peacefully at Riverside Glen Long Term Care in Guelph on Saturday, February 5, 2005. Predeceased by her first husband, Harold William MOGG, her second husband Rodman Perry FISHER, and her brothers Clair, Bob and Ross MARTIN. Loved Mother of David, Cheryl and Penny and their spouses Lindy MARCHUK, Brian FAYLE and Bill DOLAN. Beloved by grandchildren Peter (Stephanie,) Karen, Dave, Michele (Steve James) and their daughter Madeline Robert, Kyla and Patrick. Remembered fondly by the Fisher family. Betty lived her life in Galt (Cambridge) and was a lifelong member of Central Presbyterian Church. She took an active role in the social and volunteer life of the community serving on the board of the Young Women's Christian Association, chairperson of the United Way and was an honorary member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Betty was well known and loved for her smile, enjoyment of others and for sharing her enthusiam of life with family and Friends. The family will always cherish memories of times at her cottage on Georgian Bay where she also had a wonderful circle of Friends. Heartfelt thanks go to all the people who cared for Betty. Funeral service will be held at Central Presbyterian Church (Galt) on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the Galt Country Club from 3-5. No flowers.
