Peacefully at Christie Gardens Apartments and Care in Toronto on Sunday, August 28, 2005. Beloved wife of the late John Hart ELY. Loving mother of Peter (Margaret and the late Trudy,) Joan BOWKER and the late David (Carole.) Dear sister of Frances WALLACE. Lois was the dear grandmother of Peter (Karen), Alison, Jane and John (Wanda) ELY; John (Kristina) and Andrea (Peter) BOWKER Jennifer (Ian) SCOTT and Elizabeth (Neil) LEDUKE. She was a special aunt to Stephanie (Jeremy) JOHNSTON, Elizabeth (Pierre) RACICOT, Adrian (Maurice) COOMBS and Alan (Marsha) ELY. Proud great-grandmother of Kiri, Olivia, Evan, Alexander, Sarah, Micah and Dessa. She led a full and giving life, touching Friends, family and colleagues with her energy, warmth, patience and wisdom. She will be fondly missed by her adoring family. The family wishes to express their appreciation of the continuing warm support of Christie Gardens. A private service was held with the help of Grace Church-on-the-Hill and Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, Toronto. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

In London, on Saturday, January 1st, 2005 at the age of 30 years, Chris ELYEA, of London and formerly, of Port Elgin. Dear son of Claudette and Arnold ELYEA, of Port Elgin. Brother of Adrien and his wife, Jennifer, of Barrie. Grandson of Gordon and Ruth ELYEA, of Nottawa. Uncle of Samuel. He is also survived by his uncles, aunts and cousins. A service to recognize Chris' life will be conducted at the W. Kent Milroy Chapel Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, on Saturday at 1: 00 p.m., with Father Mike FRANCIS officiating. Peacefully in her sleep on August 11, 2005. Beloved wife of Yaroslaw, loving mother of Bohdan and wife Tania, George and wife Mary, devoted grandmother of Motria and husband Victor MOROZOV, Tamara and husband Peter ELYJIW and great grandmother of Dania, and sister of Christina in Lviv, Ukraine. Born on December 13, 1914 in Ukraine, immigrated to Canada in 1948. Odarka was a visual artist, internationally known for her Easter eggs and her book 'Symbolism of the Ukrainian Easter Egg', and active member of the Ukrainian community. She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation on Friday, August 12 at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street, from 6: 30 to 9: 00 p.m. (panakhyda at 7:30). Funeral services at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at Queen/Bellwoods Streets, Toronto. Interment at Prospect Cemetery thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, the Shevchenko Scientific Society, or St. Peter and Paul's Ukrainian Residence, Toronto.

After a courageous battle with cancer the Lord has called him home. At Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Thursday, March 24, 2005, Milan (Mike) GOLIAN, age 57 of Sarnia. Beloved son of Helen and the late Nicholas GOLIAN. Loving big brother of Helen TAILOR/TAYLOR (Michael), Susan MacEJKO (Miron), Andrew (Susan), Mary GOLIAN (Dan), Anna CHRAPKO (Frank), Paul (Lisa) and Katherine DANKO (Lubo.) Special uncle to Karly (Paul,) Stefan, Peter, Aaron (Amy), Ryan-Michael, Eric, Joshua, Jason, Paulko and ELYSE. Great uncle of Breaden, Dylan and Simon. Mike retired from the Bayer Fire Department in 2002 after 35 years of service. Friends will be received at the McKenzie and Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Rick JANISSE 1: 30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict's Church.
