CHIDLOW, Philip
It is with much sadness our family announces Philip's death, in his 80th year, on January 30, 2005 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, following a rich and interesting life, lived on his own terms. He died as he lived, with strength, dignity, and surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 36 years, Linda (WILSON.) Phil was the cherished father of Phyllis MacDONALD and her partner Steve ELSASSER, Karen TAVERNER and son Ty. Proud grandfather of Brandi MacDONALD, Jillian and Lauren TAVERNER. He is survived by siblings Albert (May,) Don (Beryl), Alex (Fay) and Barbara WHITLOW (Ray) who will sorely miss their older brother. He will be remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews as well as his Friends in both Canada and at The Meadows in Tarpon Springs, Florida. At his request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Phil's life will be held for family and close Friends at a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Mildred Ettie of Saint Thomas, on Friday, March 4, 2005, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Jesse "Carl" WOOLLEY and dearly loved mother of Addelene and her husband Keith JONES of R.R.#4 Saint Thomas, Carol and her husband Dale ELSE of Port Lambton, Daphne AERSSEN of Saint Thomas and Richard and his wife Debbie WOOLLEY of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Thelma ROURKE of Goderich. Predeceased by 3 brothers Fred, Morley and Robert LINDSAY. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mildred was born in Southwold Township on March 1, 1917, the daughter of the late Richard and Annie (JONES) LINDSAY. She has resided in this area all her life. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Orange Lodge #232, L.O.B.A., Crystal Chapter #18, London, the United Church Women of St. Andrews United Church and the V.I.P. Club Saint Thomas. 75 years passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2005 after a brief and brave illness with cancer at Bluewater Health Palliative Care, Sarnia. Patricia leaves behind her beloved husband and soul mate Grant JONES of 54 years and children Dan JONES (Judy GELINAS), Tim and Beth JONES, Julianne JONES (Jack HIGDON), Kathilyn KALOCZI (Doug TURNER) and Laureen and Stan YARC. Her 75 year legacy includes 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Christopher and Gregory VANDENHEUVEL, Jennifer and Tracy JONES, Jackie and Shannon KALOCZI and Jason, Michael and Rachel YARC. Patricia is survived by her sisters Maureen (John) CASSIDY, Joan PATAKY, Terry (John) HELLO, Mary Ellen (Bob) CLARK, Sharon (Eoin) MUIR, Kathleen (Sandy) MURRAY, Eileen KUIJER, Colleen (Leo) RENNER, Susan (George) Monaghan KNOTT and brothers Peter (Beverly) MONAGHAN and Patrick MONAGHAN. Beloved father, teacher, and, friend of Anne, (Garry HUNTER,) Venu, (Harida ELSEA), Bruce, (Leda), Jane, (Robin CLOW), Barbara, (John RONSLEY,) and Joni, (Harvey GOLDMINTZ.) Loving " Grandpa" to 'Sara, (Sean FOLKES), Kimberley, Michael, Lindsay, Morgan, Taylor, Mairen, Rebecca, Jason, Emma, Clair, Heather, Shawn, Melissa, Melanie, Laura, and Bryna, (deceased). Jim was a Veteran of the Second World War. His business career was with the T. Eaton Company from 1948 until his retirement. He then filled his time with family, golf, and bridge. In his last few days of life, Jim never lost his sense of humour. A special thanks to the Goldmintz family for keeping "Grandpa" a special person in their life. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury for their exceptional care and many kindnesses to both our father and our family. Passed away peacefully, at Sunnybrook Hospital, on Sunday, April 17, 2005. Marge was predeceased by her sister Joan and survived by sister Patricia ROGERSON of Connecticut. Marjorie was a loving aunt to Dennis KILMURY and his wife Corrine of Milton, Patricia ELSEY and her husband Andy of Burlington, Alan KILMURY of Toronto, and David, Andrew and Cameron of the United States. She was also a proud great-aunt to Matthew, Sara and Paul KILMURY. Special thanks to the staff of Sunnybrook Hospital and to Marjorie's great friend, Diane WHITE/WHYTE of Toronto. Born in Enniskillen Twp., daughter of the late Herbert and Mabel (BROWN) ELSOM. Beloved wife of the late Bruce McAUSLAN (1987.) Lila is survived by sisters Evelyn CROSS of R.R.#1 Bothwell, Eleanor THOMAS of Peterborough; a brother Alfred ELSOM of Wardsville, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Alice McCRACKEN. At Lila's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place with the interment in Shetland Cemetery at a later date. Dear brother of Kathleen McLARTY of West Lorne, Alan ARMSTRONG of R.R.#4 Saint Thomas and the late Leslie ARMSTRONG and Jean BURKS. George was born in Saint Thomas on July 15, 1924, the son of the late John A. and Ethel (ELSON) ARMSTRONG. Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre Westminster Campus on Friday January 21, 2005 Donna Claire, dear wife of Kingsley ALLASTER in her 72nd year. Loving mother of Rosemary BENTLEY (Bruce) of Troy, Michigan, and Catherine (predeceased 1985). Dear daughter of the late Dominic and Eva ROMANELLI of Toronto. The family wish to thank the nurses on 7th floor Oncology at London Health Sciences Centre and the nurses at London Regional Cancer Centre for their loving care. In particular Dr. John RADWAN, Dr. Cathy ELSWORTHY, Dr. Fred SEXTON, Dr. Eric WINQUEST, Dr. IZAWA, Dr. PERRY and Maureen TRINNEAR. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Flora May CAMPBELL (née McROBERTS,) born in London, Ontario, October 17th, 1914, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on Monday, February 14th, 2005, at Meadow Park Nursing Home. She will be dearly missed by her family and Friends. Beloved mother of Donald J. HARRIS and his wife Louise, Warren Edgar HARRIS (deceased) and his wife Beverly, Marilyn ROLLASON and her husband Harry (deceased.) Dear grandmother of Dianna BLACKMON and her husband Terry, Debra ELSWORTHY, Jo-Ann HARRIS, Donald HARRIS, Brenda HARRIS, Kevin ROLLASON and his wife Gail, Karen HARTIE and her husband Steve, Michele HARRIS and Michael HARRIS (deceased.) Great-grandmother of Luke, Derek and Blake BURNETT, Andrea and Thomas ELSWORTHY, Natalie and Samantha HARTIE, Sarah and Mary ROLLASON.
