M.R.S.H., beloved husband of Elizabeth Agnes
(ALEXANDER,) and
father of children, Robert William Francis, Peter Lionel, Lynda
Diane (MacAuley), Stephen Lawrence and Susan Alice (Ryan), died
in his 98th year Tuesday morning at 8: 00 in Surrey, British Columbia,
while holding the hand of his loving wife. He is succeeded by
many cousins, of which Dr. William
ROBERTSON and Robert
HARRIS
were among his best Friends, as was his brother-in-law, Alfred
HARRIS.
Eleven▼ grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren
also succeed him. All of his brothers and sisters, Queen Alice
Pearl (HARRIS), Francis James, Antoinette Ellen
(ROBERTSON),
Emma Edith, Lily Willys
(COOK), and William
CORDINGLEY; and also
Ethel (Harris)
ELKERTON and his eldest son, Bill (Robert William
Francis), predecease him. He worked throughout the Middle East,
Pakistan and India helping to set up public health systems during
and after the Second World War before settling in Toronto to
direct the Ontario Ministry of Public Health Laboratory. He loved
reading and writing poetry. The end has set you free And left
to plumb our feelings Us whom loss has grieved. Many thanks are
given to Dr.

Surrounded by her family, a great wife, mother, grandmother,
relative and friend has departed us on November 11th, 2005 (Remembrance
Day). Her contribution to her community will be hard to match.
Her many kindnesses, philosophy and integrity will be passed
on. Dearest and loving mother of Marvin and Hennie, Marilyn and

and Saul, Shari, Morrey, Wendy, Matthew and Karoline. Loving

Her life
was distinguished by her devotion to her husband the late Morris
ELKIND, her family, her synagogue and her community. The family
gratefully acknowledges the compassionate care provided to Bea
by her care giver Marcelina and the caring services provided
by the Palliative Care Team at Baycrest Hospital. At Benjamin's
Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west
of Dufferin), for service on Sunday, November 13, 2005 at 1 p.m.
Interment at the Linitzer Society Dawes Road Cemetery. Shiva

memorial donations may be made to the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric

sadness that we announce Bill's passing. He will be remembered
always for his love and loyalty to family, his adventurous spirit
and the courage and tenacity he demonstrated throughout his life.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Palliative
Care Unit at Scarborough General Hospital for their assistance
and patience during his difficult last journey. At Bill's request,
there will be no public service. Cremation. Interment will take
place at Palmer Rapids Wesleyan Cemetery, Palmer Rapids, Ontario,
at a later date.

Valdemar ELKSNITIS.
