Manfred Fritz “Fred” ELFERS, passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Monday, March 21, 2005, age 70. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Jean ELFERS, née BASHARA. Loving father of Cynthia JAZ and her husband Anthony of Cambridge and Gregory ELFERS of London. Proud Opa of Nicole JAZ. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, March 24 at 12: 00 noon. Visitation will continue prior to the service from 11: 00 a.m. on Thursday. Private interment Saint John's Cemetery, Arva. At the Windsor Regional Hospital on Tuesday May 17th, 2005, William "Joe" BLACKWELL of Windsor and formerly of Saint Thomas, in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Diane (RODRIGUE) BLACKWELL and dearly loved step-father of Patrick and his wife Kari RAINVILLE, Iona; Alice and her husband Dave ELFORD, Saint Thomas and Linda FREELE and her partner Ron MARISSEN, Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Michael, Anthony, Shelby, Dakota and Connor. Dear step-son of Margaret BLACKWELL. Joe was born in Aylmer on February 19th, 1943 to the late Joe and Gertrude (ROLISON) BLACKWELL. He worked at BOC Gases in Windsor and was a member of Branch #41 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow in London. Beloved father of Vera Todd LEVERTON of R.R.#7 Thamesville, Norma and Scott JAY of R.R.#1 Muirkirk, and Wm. Gordon and Elizabeth Ann TODD of R.R.#2 Tupperville. Loving grandfather of Lesley TODD and Marc MILLER of Wallaceburg, Matthew and Natalie TODD of Highgate, Jason TODD of Dresden, Christopher LEVERTON of Ridgetown, Adam LEVERTON of Poland, Mike JAY and Jordan JAY of R.R.#1 Muirkirk. Born in Orford Township, son of the late John and Grace Elizabeth (REYCRAFT) CLARK. Beloved husband of the late M. Alberta (HOGG) CLARK (1994.) Dear father of Grace Ann and Bruce KOEHLER of Toronto, Margaret Jean and Bev TUNKS of R.R.#1 Saint Marys, Alex and Cheryl CLARK of Ridgetown, Bob and Lorraine CLARK of Highgate, Morley and Judy CLARK of R.R.#2 Highgate, Wayne and Lorrie CLARK of R.R.#4 Chatham and Doug and Kim CLARK of R.R.#3 Lambeth. Grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Bessie CLARK (1997,) Ruth ANDERSON (2005) and an infant brother Harold. Brother-in-law of William ANDERSON of R.R.#4 Thamesville and Stella HOGG of Blenheim. Also surviving is a dear friend Helen SEIFRIED of Ridgetown. He was predeceased by a grand_son Walter. Francis was a retired farmer, trucker and livestock broker. He was a member of Turin United Church, a member of the Ridgetown Seniors Centre and a former employee of Talbotville Stockyards. A resident of Orford Township, Albert GLASSFORD passed away at the Village Nursing Home, Ridgetown on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at the age of 87. Born in Orford Township, son of the late Norman and Maggie (O'NEIL) GLASSFORD. Beloved husband of Mildred (LEVERTON) GLASSFORD for 64 years. Dear father of Wayne GLASSFORD and his wife Linda of Muirkirk, Donald GLASSFORD and his wife Barb of Harley, Dr. Larry GLASSFORD and his wife Twyla of Windsor, and Roy GLASSFORD and his wife Colleen of Winchester. Grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 3. Brother of the late Calvin GLASSFORD, Charles GLASSFORD, Annie CLANAHAN, and Jean TINNEY. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Albert was Clerk-Treasurer of Orford Township for over 30 years. He was very active in community service throughout his life. Passed away peacefully at Idlewyld Manor on January 20th, 2005. Jean was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman FIRTH. Sister of C. Grant FIRTH (2002) and Murray FIRTH (1945.) Jean lived in Hamilton all her life, she drove for the Red Cross during the second world war. The family would like to thank the staff at Idlewyld Manor for their compassionate care. Also Lee YEARWOOD, Betty HAMMOND, Sheila ELFORD, Jo-Anne LARGE and Tracy WHITTAKER. Following Jean's wishes there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. (Served in Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War) Peacefully, at Riverside Glen Nursing Home, Guelph, on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Canon J.C. GARRETT, in his 91st year, was the beloved husband of Winnifred (CLARKE) GARRETT of Guelph. Loving father of Elizabeth GARRETT of Guelph, Mary ELFRING (GARRETT) and her husband Gary of St. Charles, Illinois, Allison SULLIVAN (GARRETT) of Guelph, James GARRETT and his wife Bernice of Acton and Clarke GARRETT of Kemptville. Loving grandfather of Erin (Stewart), Michael (Fiona), John (Laura), Matthew, Adrianne, Jessica, Laura, Conor, Kevin, Andrew, Sarah, Lauren and Christine. Loving great-grandfather of Owen. Canon J.C. GARRETT was born in Ottawa on July 18, 1915. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War, member of the 30th Field Artillery Regiment in Ottawa as a chaplain. He received his B.A. at Trinity College and his L.S.T. at Bishop's University. Ordered as a deacon at Trinity Church Cornwall, and ordained as a priest in June 1947. He married Winnifred CLARKE on June 26, 1948. Serving parishes of Balderson and Lanark, North Gower, Hawkesbury, St. Richard's Church, Ottawa, St. Peter's Church, Brockville, where he retired in October 1980. Since then he served in various parishes such as Saint John's Ogdenburg, New York St. James Kemptville, Merrickville, and honourary assistant at St. James the Apostle in Guelph. Visitation will take place at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church (86 Glasgow Street, at Paisley Street, Guelph) on Saturday, September 10, 2005 from 10: 00-11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service and Eucharist will take place at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Service will also take place at St. James Anglican Church, Kemptville on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment of Ashes at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lanark.
