GARRETT was born
in Ottawa on July 18, 1915. He served in the Royal Canadian Air
Force in the Second World War, member of the 30th Field Artillery
Regiment in Ottawa as a chaplain. He received his B.A. at Trinity
College and his L.S.T. at Bishop's University. Ordered as a deacon
at Trinity Church Cornwall, and ordained as a priest in June
1947. He married Winnifred
CLARKE on June 26, 1948. Serving parishes
of Balderson and Lanark, North Gower, Hawkesbury, St. Richard's
Church, Ottawa, St. Peter's Church, Brockville, where he retired
in October 1980. Since then he served in various parishes such
as Saint John's Ogdenburg, New York St. James Kemptville, Merrickville,
and honourary assistant at St. James the Apostle in Guelph. Visitation
will take place at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church (86
Glasgow Street, at Paisley Street, Guelph) on Saturday, September 10,
2005 from 10: 00-11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service and Eucharist will
take place at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Service
will also take place at St. James Anglican Church, Kemptville
on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment of Ashes
at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lanark. As expressions of sympathy, donations
