LOWERY/LOWREY/LOWRIE/LOWRY passed away quietly in Toronto
on Friday, December 23, 2005, in her 91st year. The daughter
of Norwegian immigrants, Arne and Börghilde
EIKRE,
Gladys was
born in Penzance, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Toronto. She married
the late William J.
LOWERY/LOWREY/LOWRIE/LOWRY (d. 1991) in 1936 and, after a few
years on the family farm at Rodney, Ontario, they settled in
Saint Thomas, where her husband became the postmaster. Mother of
three children, Carol Jane (d. 1944), Keith James and Robert
William, Mrs.
LOWERY/LOWREY/LOWRIE/LOWRY was an active member of Knox Presbyterian
Church, a licensed graphoanalyst, a little league coach/scorekeeper,
a band parent group leader and an amazing crossword puzzler.
Her working career included Regal Stationary, Saint Thomas-Elgin
General Hospital and Anesthesia Associates. She is mourned by
her sons and their families: Keith (Mary-Ann), and children,
Sean and Karah; Rob (Jay), and children, Chris (Danielle) and
Devon, and grand_sons, Miles and Asher

to the caring staff at Central Park Lodges and Seven Oaks Home
for the Aged. At the family's request, there will be no visitation.
A memorial service for family and Friends will be held in Toronto
in January and interment will follow in the family plot in Rodney.
