Joyce's family regret to announce her death on Monday, March 7, 2005 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario in her 75th year. Joyce battled breast cancer for many years, always with a great deal of faith, hope and courage. Born in Dundalk and raised in Aurora and Keswick, Ontario, Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband David Austin (February 25, 2000,) father and mother, James and Jean (née FRASER) PORTER, parents-in-law Isabelle (Belle) Gourley (née KANE) HUNTLEY and Austin W. HUNTLEY, and her sister-in-law Linda NEWELL. Those who will miss Joyce most are her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice FRYER and her husband, Mark, of Waterdown, Lorraine CHILELLI and her husband, Lido, of Toronto, Allison HUNTLEY and her husband, Allan PHOENIX, of Guelph, her much loved grandchildren, Andrew and Alexandra FRYER, and Claire and Ava CHILELLI. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters, Gerald (Gerry) PORTER of Nepean, Helen (née PORTER) RAMBO of Newmarket, Ward (Bud) WILSON and his wife Anita (née EDMED) of Priceville, Patricia (née PORTER) MacDONALD and her husband Joseph of Markham, all in Ontario, and their families. She was a tireless worker with the Trinity United Choir and United Church Women having been a member of both for 45 years. She was also active in the Newmarket Seniors Keynotes. Family and Friends may visit at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street, South, Newmarket on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service of celebration for the life of Joyce will be held at Trinity United Church in Newmarket, at the corner of Main Street South and Park Avenue on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Queensville Cemetery, Queensville, Ontario. A reception for family and Friends will be held at the church after the interment. Mrs. Isabelle (CONNOR) EDMISON of London, formerly of Saint Thomas, wife of Ken EDMISON, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, London on Sunday, February 13, 2005, in her 75th year. Mother of Joanne WOODWORTH and her husband Kevin, Trudy WINKWORTH and her husband Ed, all of Saint Thomas, John EDWARDS and his wife Denise of Georgetown and Jim EDWARDS of Lambeth. Sister of Ruby LEVERTON and her husband George of Saint Thomas, and the late Wilma LUSCOMBE (her husband Lary of Strathroy). Also survived by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Born in New Sarum, Ontario, February 5, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Edward J. “Ted” CONNOR and the late Grace (STEPHENS) Connor MARTIN. Mrs. EDMISON was retired from Helix Couriers, London and was a member of the Horton Street Seniors Centre. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Tuesday from 3-4: 30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Rhonda Marie (KLEIN,) cherished wife of Tim BUTTON, was born on January 2, 1978 and went home to her heavenly Father on August 12, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dearly loved daughter of Harvey and Gloria KLEIN of Francis, Saskatchewan loving sister of Tracy and Rich EDMISON (Kyle and Sarah,) Audrey and Chris GREALISH (Chloe and Liam), Bonnie and Donovan CARROLL (Matthew, Miranda, Rebecca and Anna), Kevin and Shannon KLEIN (Kailey) and Jennifer KLEIN ad her fiancé Kevin WARD. Rhonda was predeceased by her grandparents, Tony and Anna KLEIN, and will remain forever in the hearts of her surviving grandparents, Steve and Theresa DECK. Rhonda brought great joy to the family of her husband, Tim. She is the treasured daughter-in-law of Karen BUTTON, London and John and Debbie BUTTON, Morpeth. She was a very special sister-in-law to Claire BUTTON and Geoff MATTHEWS. Rhonda was predeceased by grandparents-in-law Jim and Nancy BUTTON and brought much love to surviving grandparents-in-law, Frank and Marion MILLS.
Rhonda was a graduate of the Royal Military College in Kingston and served her country loyally including a tour of duty with the the North Atlantic Treaty Organization peace keeping forces in Banja Luka. Rhonda will be greatly missed by her many childhood Friends, her military classmates and colleagues, many aunts, uncles and cousins and all of Tim's extended family and Friends. Rhonda lived her life to the fullest and she and Tim found their greatest joy in their marriage and in the short life they had together. Tim was by Rhonda's side throughout her illness. Rhonda loved giving to people in need and it was her heart's desire to find ways to serve and help those less fortunate. In lieu of flowers, Tim, Harvey, Gloria and Rhonda and Tim's families would be honoured if her memory was recognized by donations to the Souls Harbor Mission House, Box 24025, 1792 Broad Street, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 4J8. Appreciation is extended to all of our Ontario family, Friends and colleagues whose prayers, calls and kind gestures of support have sustained Rhonda and her loved ones during the past 11 weeks. A memorial service to celebrate Rhonda's life will be held at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa and a funeral service will be held in Francis, Saskatchewan. Suddenly, at his cottage, on Saturday, July 23rd, 2005 in his 78th year. Paul EDMONDS of Orillia, beloved husband of Ruth (nee: DAY.) Loving father of Paul and wife Myrle of Whitby, Sharon and husband George ORAM of Bancroft, Louise of Cambridge, Stephen and wife Patti of Orillia. Beloved grandfather of Matthew, Stephanie, Alison and Robert EDMONDS, Jeffery, Michael, Peter and David ORAM, Sandy, Nicholas, and Cameron EDMONDS. Brother of Robert (Bob) EDMONDS of Toronto, and Joanne HUNT of Guelph. An enthusiastic banjo player with the Music Makers, Paul was also a great lover of the outdoors with a passion for canoeing, and finding remote lakes in the wilderness of Ontario. Passed away suddenly in his 90th year at Northumberland Hills Hospital - Cobourg in the presence of his family on Sunday, January 30, 2005. Jack will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Violet, daughter Lee, son Ross, daughter-in-law Carole, his two grand_sons Antonio and Andrew and his nephew Ron. Predeceased by sister Jean and parents Wilhelmina and Charles. Jack was a World War 2 Royal Canadian Air Force Veteran and a dedicated public servant for almost 3 decades with Canada Post. Born in Toronto, Jack and his family lived in Willowdale and Thornhill. Jack retired with his wife 'Vye' to the Port Hope area where they enjoyed the company of family, Friends and neighbours. A Funeral Service will be held at 2: 00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3 a the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street (Hwy. 28), Port Hope, L1A 2T3 with visitation one our prior to the service. It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the death of Stephen Ernest (Ernie) MAYNES in Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Friday, August 19th, 2005, beloved husband and best friend of Sherrill (EDMUNDS,) dear father of John (Nancy) MAYNES of North Bay and Paul (Donna) MAYNES of Edmonton, and proud grandpa of Andrea and Andrew MAYNES of Edmonton. Ernie was predeceased by his parents Albion and Edith (ROBINSON) MAYNES, his brothers Douglas (Marie) MAYNES and Charles (May) MAYNES, his sister Lerna HATHWAY (Ted) and his former wife Helen (DYER.)
