EDIGER,
Nicholas
Martin
Friends and associates across Canada will be saddened by the
death of Nick
EDIGER, in Fredericton, on December 24 of complications
following an accident. He is survived by his wife
Beth
(CATTLEY)
EDIGER and his daughter Julia
EDIGER of Toronto. After graduating
as a geologist from the University of Manitoba, Nick spent two
decades with Gulf Oil in Calgary and Toronto, then became Chief
Executive Officer of Eldorado Nuclear (now Cameco) in Ottawa
for 15 years. On leaving Eldorado, he and the family moved back
to Toronto where he joined the consulting firm Sentinel Associates,
eventually forming Sentinel East after moving to Fredericton
in 1997. Most recently, he was an enthusiastic committee member
of Energy Saint John, and was a director of two start-up companies
that explored new ways of producing energy. Nick's keen insight
into politics, energy issues and topics of the day was much appreciated
by both his Tuesday Club and his Friday Group. A man of generous
spirit and gregarious by nature, he will be greatly missed by
all. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
