DZWIN, Marie
At the Sara Vista Nursing Centre in Elmvale, on Thursday, February 17, 2005, Marie DZWIN in her 95th year. Dear mother of Edith (John) WEBER of Wymbolwood Beach, and Marion LEGGE of Owen Sound. Beloved Grams to Kris (Nancy), Peter (Susan), Maria (Scott), Nadya, Andrea, Murray (Deb), and Renee. Dear Great-Grams to Kate, Alex, Blaze, Will, Karl, Rebecca, Sofie, and Eva. Marie was a founding member of the Markham Unionville Business and Professional Women, a life member of Unionville and Whitevale United Church Women, and the first female steward of the Whitevale United Church. She was predeceased by her husband John. At Marie's request, there will be no funeral home, visitation or service. A family celebration of her life will take place in the spring. The family extends their thanks to the Sara Vista Nursing Centre staff in Elmvale for their loving care to Marie and to her family. Peacefully, at home, with his family by his side on Monday, May 2, 2005 in his 65th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda (née JOSSA.) Loving father of Lisa and her husband John WOOD, Louanne and her husband Glenn KEARSLEY, Cheryl and her partner Michael WILLIGAN, Kelly, and Paul DZWINKIWSKY and his wife Anne. Adored Poppy of Rachel, Louis, William and Emily. Lovingly raised by the late Ethel PORTER. Dear brother of the late Howard and Kenneth PORTER. Will be sadly missed by mother-in-law Ruthie, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and Friends. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, 29 Victoria Street, Aurora, (905) 727-5421 on Wednesday, May 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Grace Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In George's memory, donations may be made to the Scleroderma Society.

PALMER, Dave Ignatius
Died suddenly from cancer related complications on June 27th, 2005 at age 46. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Darcy and their children Max (3½) and Mia (7 weeks). Also left to mourn are his mother Edith MARTIN, siblings Cheryl PALMER (Danylo DZWONYK), Laurel Palmer GOODEN (Don), Colville PALMER, Gerald PALMER, Karene Palmer ROBINSON (Carl) and Susan Palmer GOODEN (Philip,) his parents-in-law Ruth and Dick BERTHIAUME, his brother-in-law Bill BERTHIAUME, his aunts Merle PAISLEY, Pam MARTIN and Joyce PALMER and his cousins Beverley, Ivan and Monica SCHROETER and his nine nieces and nephews. Dave's long-time business partner Fraser (Janet) MacDOUGALL and his many Friends are also left shocked and saddened at his death. Visitation will be at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W., on Friday, July 1st, 6-8pm. The funeral will take place at St. Clement's Anglican Church, 59 Briar Hill Ave., July 2nd at 10 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist Dave's family may be made to the law firm of Jan Goddard and Associate in Trust, Suite 504, 1 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario M4T 2V7.

DZWONYK, Lillian
70. Died at home in Winnipeg on Thursday, September 29, 2005 after a courageous fight with cancer. Lillian, a compassionate and gentle woman of deep faith, will be greatly missed by her children Danylo DZWONYK (Cheryl PALMER) of Toronto, Pazia Dzwonyk (Glen) CHARLEBOIS of Kenora, Zenon DZWONYK of Winnipeg and Taisa Dzwonyk (Brent) HORNING of Winnipeg; grandchildren Matthew, Maia, Emma and Alex HORNING, Nicholas and Eve CHARLEBOIS. Also left to mourn are her sisters Rose CHUCHMUCH, Vera RODECK, Caroline ANTONIW and Helen (Paul) SIDORYK and many more relatives and Friends in Canada and Ukraine. Predeceased by her husband Ewstachij in 1997.
Lillian was a fine artist and in retirement, after years as an elementary school teacher in Kenora, painting became her passion. Known in the Ukrainian community for her watercolours and acrylics, Lillian exhibited in Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Parastas was sung Sunday, October 2 at 7: 00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Winnipeg with Divine Liturgy and Panahyda to be celebrated Monday, October 3 at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
