MEDEIROS, Jose Travassos
After a lengthy illness and courageous battle, it is with great sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of Jose Travassos MEDEIROS, on Saturday April 16th in his 85th year at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Devoted husband of Maria Olivia (ANDRADE.) Beloved father of Manuel Michael, Maria (Mary) Teresinha BETTENCOURT and Rosemary Ann DUARTE. (Cherished Grandfather) "VuVu" to Angela FAGUNDES- AMARELO, Monica FAGUNDES- RATERINK, Olivia and Sarah DUARTE, Aimee McKEOWN, Michael and Lance MEDEIROS. Special Guardian Angel to his beloved greatgrandchildren, Emily AMARELO, Isaac Travassos McKEOWN and MacKenzie LANE- CORREIA.
Jose Travassos loved his children and grandchildren more than anything in the world and expressed always that his family will be in his heart. He will be missed overseas in his Homeland Faial, Azores by his sisters Lucia and Fernanda and also by many Friends and family that he has touched over the years. Jose created so many fond memories for his family and Friends he will forever be in our hearts, his laughter, jokes, hugs, kisses and terms of endearments will be cherished by all. Special thanks to the staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for their care and kindness.

Funeral Home, Strathroy on Tuesday April 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial to be held from All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday April 20th at 11: 00 a.m. with Father Luis Carlo PINHEIRO officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery. Prayers will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8: 30 p.m. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Jose.

DUARTE, Ilda
Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, April 14, 2005, in her 61st year, after a long battle with heart disease. She will be sadly missed and always loved by everyone who knew her, especially by her adoring son Paul, her daughter-in-law Sue, and her two favourite bright lights, her grandchildren Jordan and Hannah. The family will be receiving Friends at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre (3164 Ninth Line at Dundas), Oakville (905-257-8822), on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mathew's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Of Earlscourt Avenue. Visitation 6-10 p.m. today at the Ryan & Odette Funeral Home, 1498 Dundas St. W., at Dufferin, Toronto. Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint John Bosco Church to Prospect Cemetery. Mrs. QUINTAL, who died at the Mount Sinai Hospital, was predeceased by: husband Antonio; children Idolina NEVES, Rafoela GONCALVES, Alcina QUINTAL, Eduarde QUINTAL, Pedro QUINTAL, and is survived by children Maria DUARTE (Joao), Jose Pompilio QUINTAL (Gorete), Antonio QUINTAL (Gorete), Joao QUINTAL (Paula), Ana WANG (Alex) 24 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Parking is no problem - simply enter from Dufferin, just north of Dundas.

Passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at the age of 66. John DUARTE, beloved husband of Fanzia. Loving father of Maria CLARKE, Monique, John, and Gerard. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Jordan and Kyle. Dear brother of Mona TEIXEIRA, Rita Mendesde FRANCA, Desmond, Paul, Gerard, Martin and Anthony. Will be lovingly remembered by many dear family and Friends. The family will receive Friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax (Pickering Village) 905-428-8488 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church (21 Bayly St. E., Ajax), on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Christ the King Cemetery.
