BOYLE, Harry J.
Passed away peacefully at his home in Toronto, on Friday, January 21, 2005. Loved dearly by his daughter Patricia Anne BOYLE and his son Michael H. BOYLE. Harry is predeceased by his wife Marion (1995) and remembered lovingly by his son in law Michael WALLER and his daughter in law Sandy BOYLE and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Kevin and David BOYLE; and his brother Norman BOYLE and his sister Rita TURNER. The family appreciates deeply the care provided over the years by Aurora DIZON and family and by his physician Dr. M. LHOTSKY. Presented with the Order of Canada in 1997, Harry was a journalist, broadcaster and writer who provided many with a chance to persue their dreams and ideas. Friends may call at the Trull "North Toronto" Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south of Lawrence) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Wingham, Ontario on Thursday at 11: 00 am. If desired, remembrance may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the charity of your choice.

SHAW, Carl Dee
Peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2005, Carl Dee SHAW, age 69, of Sarnia and formerly of Dresden, passed away at home. Beloved husband of 45 years of Marian (GRIFFITH,) and loving father of Sally and husband Rob FENNELL of Kitchener, Andrew and wife Theresa DIZON of Sarnia, and Allan and friend Kristine McDONALD of Sarnia. Proud grandfather of Dexter and Noah FENNELL. Also survived by his brother Clayton (LEALA) SHAW of Dresden and sister Jean CROWE of Wallaceburg, brother-in-law Mike (Valerie) GRIFFITH and sister-in-law Nancy GRIFFITH, all of Wallaceburg, and sister-in-law Helen (Merv) ROOKE of Blenheim. Predeceased by his parents David and Irene (BALL) SHAW, infant daughter Cindy Lou, father-in-law Earl GRIFFITH, mother-in-law Laura GRIFFITH, step-mother-in-law Gladys GRIFFITH, and brothers-in-law Eldon GRIFFITH and Charles CROWE.
Carl was a faithful member of Grace United Church as well as a dedicated community volunteer. He was retired after dedicating 35 years to laboratory research at Dow Chemical in Sarnia. Carl was a graduate of Dresden High School, Western Ontario Agricultural College (Ridgetown), and the Chemical Technician program at Lambton College, and was also a member of the Dresden Sports Hall of Fame. Friends will be received at the McKenzie and Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 North Christina Street, Sarnia on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Grace United Church. Interment to follow at Dresden Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Grace United Church, 990 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia N7S 2H2 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 774 London Road, Sarnia N7T 4Y1.
