Peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga on Monday, March 28, 2005, Franceschina DIODATI (née DE ROSE.) Dearly beloved wife of the late Giovanni DIODATI. Loving mother of Carlo (Lennett TURPIN), Fred, Jim (Ellen MALCOLMSON), Joe (Elizabeth SPITERI) and the late Venus. Cherished grandmother of Francine, Mathew, Vanessa, Franca, Anna, Rosie, Robert, Jackie, John, Michael, Sarah, Rebecca, David, Andrea and Emily. She came to Canada in 1952 to start a new life with her husband Giovanni. Their hard work and strong family values made them role models for their children and grandchildren. Nana, as she was affectionately known, was everyone's grandmother. She was known for her great meals and warm hospitality and her special ability to ward off the "evil eye". We will miss her dearly. Resting at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2104 Kipling Ave., Etobicoke (two blocks north of Rexdale Blvd.) from Tuesday 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Airways Church, 7407 Darcel Ave., Mississauga on Thursday at 10 a.m. Entombment Glendale Memorial Gardens. Was surrounded by family and God by his side when he peacefully moved from this life to the next, on Thursday, September 22, 2005 in his 56th year. He was born on the 27th day of January 1950 in Niki-Florina, Greece and was the proud son of the late Michael and Stephalia KIRKOPOULOS. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his sons Michael and Angelo KIRKOPOULOS. He was a loving husband to the late Helen KIRKOPOULOS and was predeceased by caring partner Roselle CAYUGA. Paul will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Elizabeth ARVANITIS, his daughter-in-law Michelle KIRKOPOULOS, his dear cousins Maria DAMTSIS, and family and Angelo DIOLAKIS and family and his loving extended family and Friends. A special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Hamilton General Hospital who extended such compassionate care in Paul's last days. Suddenly on November 16, 2004. Beloved husband of Karen; loved brother of Arnold. A remarkable and generous man, he was Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto. He was an outstanding scholar and researcher and also, a dedicated teacher. In recognition of his research, he received the 2001 Donald O. Hebb Award for distinguished contributions to psychology as a science from the Canadian Psychological Association. He is remembered with affection and respect by Friends and colleagues across Canada, Europe, and the United States. A Memorial Service to commemorate his life will be held at Hart House, University of Toronto at noon on Saturday, the 29th of January. Doctor born in Madoc, Ontario, on May 29, 1883
The son of a physician, he attended the University of Toronto medical school and, in 1909, went into practice in Callander, Ontario, a rural community he would thereafter seldom leave. Described as a shy recluse, he is best known for delivering and caring for the DIONNE Quintuplets. On May 28, 1934, he was summoned to the home of the DIONNEs, where he found a multiple birth in progress. Using his practical country-doctor skills and the telephone advice of his brother William, a Toronto gynecologist, he kept the babies alive, and they became the first quintuplets to survive. He continued to help care for the children for years and became something of a celebrity (he was portrayed in at least two Hollywood movies.) The provincial government gave Dr. DAFOE joint guardianship of the quintuplets, and a special nursery was built so the public could pay to view them. This found general approval at the time but later drew criticism as a sideshow. In 1936, he wrote Dr. Dafoe's Guidebook for Mothers, followed in 1941 by How to Raise Your Baby. He was awarded the Order of the British Empire.

Peacefully at the Willett Hospital, Paris on Sunday, July 31, 2005, in his 81st year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Susan of 51 years, his daughters Eva and her husband John KAUFMAN, and Ann and her husband Helder BOTELHO, all of Brampton and by his beloved grand_son Michael. George was excited about the arrival of his future granddaughter. George was born in Budapest, Hungary and came to Montreal in 1949 where he earned his B.Sc. from McGill University. After 23 years, George and his family moved to Brantford where he joined Amoco Fabrics and Fibers. George was an avid sailor (Port Dover Yacht Club), he enjoyed photography and loved music and computers. At George's request, cremation has taken place. Grace was a Registered Nurse, having graduated from the Stratford General Hospital School of Nursing in 1928. She continued her profession for a number of years in Stratford before moving to live with her family in Mitchell for 25 years. She then moved to Goderich where she nursed at the Alexandra Marine Hospital and later retired to Wingham for about 37 years. While in Wingham, Grace was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church where she was a faithful longtime worker with the Women's Missionary Society. She has resided at the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell for the last five years. There will be no funeral home visitation. A celebration of Grace's life will take place with a public memorial service at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal Street, Mitchell at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Mitchell Area Mobility Bus or the charity of one's choice. A special "thank you" to Reverend Thelma KUDELKA, Rev. She left this earth as she lived on it - "With Grace and Dignity". Born on June 23, 1907 in Teeswater, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Ross T. WRIGHT (1956.) Cherished and much loved mother of Jim of Mitchell, Ross (Ruth Ann) of Goderich, Gwen (Gord) of Woodstock and Beverley of Goderich. Beloved grandmother of Jeff WRIGHT of Winnipeg, Scott WRIGHT of Calgary, Greg (Lynne) BROWN of Thunder Bay, Michael BROWN of Woodstock, Holly GUSHE of North Bay and Timothy (Heather) BROWN of Woodstock. Dear great grandmother of Kyle and Benjamin BROWN of Thunder Bay and of Mitchell WRIGHT of Calgary. Dear sister-in-law of Winnifred HOMUTH of Hensall.
