CIFALDI,
Maria (née
PIRONAGGI)
Surrounded by her loving family, Maria
CIFALDI passed away after
a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 27, 2005,
in her 59th year. Beloved wife of Rocco for 41 years. Dearly
loved mother of Lina and her husband Nick
D'ORIA,
Jane and her
husband Simon
FARRUGIA,
Nancy and her husband Dominic
MAZZA.
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren John, Rocco, Sarah,
Selena and Matteo. Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe
PIRONAGGI
and Maria DEFAZIO of Italy, In-laws Domenico
CIFALDI and Nicolina
CERICOLA.
Also survived by brothers and sister Domenico and wife
Assunta PIRONAGGI,
Giovannina and husband Amos
SGROMO, Antonio
PIRONAGGI and wife
Angelina
TROPEA of Italy. Predeceased by sister
Angelina PIRONAGGI and husband Francesco
GIGLIOTTI of Italy.
Maria was a remarkable woman. She devoted her entire life to
her husband, children, grandchildren, family members and Friends.
She was about laughter, good times, cooking, vacations, watching
her husband play and coach soccer and more recently - taking
up the game of golf - it was her determination to learn the game,
even though she had to put up with the "private lessons" given
by her husband Rocco. Those lessons paid off however, as she
achieved a hole-in-one in 2000 and has won numerous championship
flights at Westhaven Golf and County Club. Maria never put anything
she wanted to do aside and that is why she has achieved so much.
She has achieved satisfaction by taking the time to enjoy what
life had to offer her. Even though we are losing her at a relatively
young age, she had no regrets in life - and we definitely gained
by having such a loving, joyful and strong woman in our lives.
Family and Friends will be received at Westview Funeral Chapel,
709 Wonderland Road North, on Saturday from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and
Sunday from 2: 00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral mass
will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on
Monday,
May 2, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. with Father Joseph
DABROWSKI
officiating and Father Pio
D'ORIA assisting. Entombment at St.

those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider the Run
for Ovarian Cancer, c/o 810 Maitland St, Unit #5, London, Ontario,

assisted with her care. "To Know Herwas To Love Her"
