Survived by sister Helen, Scotland. Lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews and Ligaya BYRCH. Predeceased by brother David. Member of Doric Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. Retiree of Consumer's Gas Company. Cremation has occurred. Edward was born in Saint Thomas, on August 31, 1927, the son of the late Patrick and Blanche (WILKINSON) McMANUS. He was a member of Holy Angels' Church, an Honourary life member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid dart player. Ed was a retired engineer with the New York Central Railroad, Con-Rail and the C. and O. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Tuesday morning and then to Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 30 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Monday at 4: 00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Holy Angels' Church Restoration Fund or to Serenity House Hospice.

Passed away peacefully on May 20th, 2005 in her 74th year. Survived by her loving husband Peter Joseph BYRNE of 49 years, her children Patrick and his wife Laura, their children Matthew and Ailise Siobhan and husband Andy, their sons Gavin and Brandyn; Peter and wife Kari and their son Conner; Rosemary and Barry, their sons Travis and Tyler. Ria taught us love, she gave us true values, she taught us to be honest and to treat each other with respect... Ria was a person who believed that the glass was 'half full', she was the eternal optimist, when there was no way out, she found a way. She will be deeply missed and held in our hearts forever. A memorial mass will be held at St. Gregory's Catholic Church located at 122 Rathburn Road (at Kipling), at 10: 00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2005, and will immediately be followed by a reception at the Weston Golf and Country Club, 50 St. Phillip's Road, Weston.
