VAN SPALL, Aubrey Ignatius
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden cardiac death of Aubrey at the age of 62 years on Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Beloved husband of Lauraine VAN SPALL. Devoted father of Craig VAN SPALL (Joanne), Caroline VAN SPALL (Tony BOMBERA), Harriette VAN SPALL (Jim NEWTON,) and Helen VAN SPALL. Doting grandfather of Mark and Nicole BOMBERA and Andrew VAN SPALL. Affectionate son of Christabelle VAN SPALL. Loving brother of the late Ivor VAN SPALL (Lorna,) and uncle of Tyron and Trevor VAN SPALL. Aubrey was born in India, graduated with Science and Engineering degrees, and worked as a Professional Engineer for much of his life. It was in India that he met and married his love, Lauraine, and started a family of four children. He took a valuable risk in moving his family to Canada in 1988, and in doing so, gave each of them a tremendous gift of opportunity. He will be remembered for the simple pleasures he enjoyed: going for Sunday Mass, having family and Friends over for dinner, kicking his heels up at parties, enjoying picnics and boating in the summer, and tending to his ever-bountiful garden. He had an inquisitive nature, and relished in finding detailed answers to his questions. He had a truly generous spirit, and gave freely of himself to those who needed him. He was a pillar of strength and source of support to each member of his family; his pride in and love for them will never be forgotten. Visitation at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (Dundas/403), Oakville, on Friday, September 23rd from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Merciful Redeemer Parish, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd, Mississauga, on Saturday, September 24th at 10 a.m. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens. We will always love and miss you deeply.
