Quietly, at the home of her daughter, in her 79th year, Mrs.
Harmke (Ann)
TRIP (née
BEUKEMA) passed away on Wednesday, July
6, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Jan, three children,
Luke, John (Brenda) and Katherine (Joseph) and seven grandchildren,
Peter, Carrie, Anna, Helen, Katherine, Lucas and Caleb, as well
as two great-grandchildren, Emily and Austin. Throughout her
life she was a mentor and an example for her family and Friends
in fairness, honesty and integrity. She withstood the hardships
and uncertainties of starting a new life in a new land when she
and Jan immigrated to Canada in 1950, with son Luke in tow. She
is predeceased by her brother, Jan who passed away in Holland
at the end of World War 2 and her parents, Piet and Annie

recently of Brantford, Ontario. She will be fondly remembered
by her best friend, Mrs. Dina
VANDERWOUDE, also of Brantford.
Ann fought a long battle with cancer and enjoyed many extra years
of life with her family and Friends thanks to the advances in
medicine in her adopted homeland. Relatives and Friends will
be received at the Bernardo Funeral Homes (855 Albion Road, one
block east of Islington Avenue) on Saturday from 12 noon to 2
p.m. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 2 p.m. in the funeral
home. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would
