Peacefully passed away in her home, on November 10, 2005. Born June 3, 1919 in Fossacesia, Chieti, Italy. Beloved wife of the late Nunziato. She leaves behind her two sons, Frank (Patricia), John (Marta), and her grandchildren Lisa (Paul), Sara, Roberto, Chiara and Laura and great grandchildren Marcella and Sophia. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Canada and in Italy. Born January 2, 1918. Surrounded by loving family, Leonard passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in his 88th year. Leonard will forever be remembered for his compassion, sense of humour, and devotion to his family. In loving memory of Delbert Carl ORFORD, January 5, 1924 - January 8, 2005.
Delbert ORFORD, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge and formerly of Union Road, Evansville, died at the Lodge on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at the age of 81 years. He was born in Saskatchewan, son of the late Edmund and Viola (BADGEROW) ORFORD. Delbert had farmed all his life. He enjoyed most all sports, especially baseball and hockey and hunting and fishing and also enjoyed working in the bush. He was a veteran of WW2 and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 514. Delbert is survived by his loving wife Lois (LINLEY) ORFORD. Loved father of Terry, wife Vickie of Gore Bay, Randy of Spring Bay ,Tim, wife Lisa of Meldrum Bay and Kent, wife Nicole of Hanmer. Passed away peacefully on July 24, 2005 of natural causes at the Village of Winston Park in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Howard Maurice (Bob) of 62 years. Cherished mother of Jean Smolyn BADKE and her husband Bill, Harold Gordon (Croz) and his wife Leslie. Adored grandma to five grandchildren, Sara MILKS (Bill), David SMOLYN (Randy), Mark, Andrew, and Kate CROSBY. Great-grandmother of Jonathon, and Gillian MILKS. Norma was the youngest of seven children, born April 10, 1909 in Cleveland, Ohio. Norma graduated from Case Western Reserve University from the School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio in 1932. Norma was very active with the community in spite of having Polio since 1940. In the 1950's Norma was the March of Dimes Mother in Kitchener- Waterloo, she served on the Young Women's Christian Association board, she was also an active member of Zion Evangelical Church (Kitchener) and the First United Church (Waterloo), Norma was also a member of the Rotary Anns. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. at First United Church, 16 William St. W., Waterloo. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.
