BIRD, Helen Mary (1923-2005)
After a valiant struggle with cancer on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Altamont Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Ernest Herbert (Hugh.) Loving mother to Janet Louise SELLWOOD and husband Michael and Mary Ellen BIRD and spouse Grant ANKENMAN. Cherished grandma to Emma Louise, and Erica Lillian. Predeceased by her siblings Irene, Janet and William (Bill). Helen will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and Friends. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at the Anglican Church of St. Paul the Apostle (Rexdale), 2182 Kipling Ave. (north of Rexdale Blvd.) on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment Beechwood Cemetery. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

GONDER, Joanne Louisa (née PLANTE)
Of Walkerton, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Sunday, September 11th, 2005 in her 57th year. Beloved wife of Barry. Loving mother of Kathy and Mike HEHN, of Riversdale, Barney and Tracy HURLBUT, of R.R.#3, Walkerton and Christa ANKENMANN, of Walkerton. Cherished grandmother of Jeff, Jeremy and Pam HEHN and John Curtis HURLBUT. Sadly missed by five brothers and seven sisters as well as many nieces and nephews. Joanne was predeceased by her parents Alan and Kathleen (WALKER) PLANTE and brother Timothy. Visitation will be held at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton, on Tuesday 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, 2005 at 10: 30 a.m. at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton. Interment in Walkerton Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

STREIGHT, Harold Gordon
Passed into the presence of the Lord, on February 12, 2005, in Mississauga, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Ethel Alexander Gibb (née STEWARD/STEWART/STUART) STREIGHT of Mississauga, Ontario. Father of Margaret (Rev. Gerald BRODIE) of St. Catharines, Ontario, Gordon (Michele) of Sydney, Australia, Jean (Michael ANKENMANN,) and John (Colleen), both of Huntsville, Ontario; grandfather of Andrew, Matthew, Daniel, Joanna, Benjamin, Kylie, Joshua, Joleen and Rylan. Brother of Winnifred, Edith, Dr. Norman (Norah), Rev. Walter (Dorine), Arthur (Jean) and the late Evelyn and Stanley. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was greatly loved by all as a godly, wise and gentle gentleman. Founder and President of Streight Jewellers Ltd., Oakville and Toronto, member of Gideon's, distributing many Bibles in Oakville and worldwide, former elder of Erindale Bible Chapel, World War 2 Veteran. Known by all as a wise and kind benefactor to many people and Christian Missions. Friends will be received at the Neweduk Funeral Home - "Mississauga Chapel", 1981 Dundas St. W., (1 block east of Erin Mills Parkway) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at Erindale Bible Chapel, 1400 Dundas Cres., Mississauga, on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Jude's Cemetery, Oakville at 2 p.m. In memory of Harold, donations to The Gideon's International in Canada or Camp Mini-Yo-We would be appreciated by the family.
