successful businesswoman, operating with her husband, Prout Motors
at the northeast corner of the 9th Street East Bridge from 1938
until 1953 when Charlie
PROUT's ill health necessitated a family
move to Florida. After Charlie's death, Gertrude returned to
Owen Sound to resume her teaching career. She taught at the one-room
school in Jackson and then moved to the newly built Derby Central
School in Kilsyth until retirement in 1969. Gertrude was a great
reader, an avid bridge player and a keen political observer.
Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home 376-3710 for
visiting on Saturday, August 6th, 2005 from 1 p.m. until service
time, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel
at 2 o'clock with Dr. Brad

After a valiant struggle with a rare disease, Donna is now at
peace. Her positive spirit enhanced many lives around the world
from Taupo, New Zealand to Montreal to Abu Dhabi in the Middle

2005. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday on November 3rd.
She was born in Fortune, Newfoundland in 1914, she grew up in
Saint John's where her father was the founder of H.B. Clyde Lake
Fisheries Ltd. and the representative for Lloyd's of London and
Minister of Fisheries. Trudy graduated in nursing from Montreal
General Hospital in 1936 and went overseas with the #1 Canadian
Army
Medical
Corps where she met Dr. John
LEISHMAN, a urologist
from Shoal Lake, Manitoba. They married in England on June 20th,
1942. Trudy was predeceased by her husband John; and brothers

Bill was a very knowledgeable
person and had many talents including his love and restoration
of antique cars. He grew up in Winnipeg attending Isaac Brock
School, Ravencourt and Daniel McIntyre. He attended University
of Manitoba obtaining his degree in Civil Engineering. Bill and
Yvonne have resided in Toronto for many years. His latest and
last venture was Polar Chemical Ltd. with co-partner Robert
RUFFO.
As requested, cremation has taken place with a private funeral.
