Suddenly, as the result of a workplace accident, on September 9, 2005 in his 41st year. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Barbara. Richard leaves behind three wonderful children: Richard, Tyler and Melanie. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Kathy and brother David. Many family members and Friends will miss him dearly. Of 199 Hope Street East, Tavistock passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Stratford General Hospital surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on October 15, 1925 in Sylvan, the son of the late William Thomas and Ella Chloe CAMPBELL) JOHNSON (1952.) Jerry was an avid sports enthusiast whose love of ball, hockey and racehorses provided many lasting memories and many wonderful Friendships. He was a member of Grace United Church in Tavistock and had also served his community as an active member of the Tavistock Men's Club and Board of Trade. Jerry farmed in his early years and later worked for Lewis Thomson and Sons in the fruit and vegetable business for 40 years. In his retirement, he and Pat spent their summers at their summer home, "Lakeside Resort", where he enjoyed his family, the birds, the sunsets and their many Friends. Friends and loved ones will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Tuesday, September 20th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at Grace United Church, 116 Woodstock Street, South, Tavistock on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 2 p.m. The Reverend Marion Jackson TYLER will officiate. At Jerry's request, his body has been willed to the Department of Anatomy, University of Western, Ontario for Scientific study. After graduating from the Mount Carmel School of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan she moved to Canada in 1952 to marry and continue her career as a Nurse. Throughout their life together, they enjoyed traveling and visited many parts of Canada, the U.S. and the Caribbean. Died Saturday, October 8, 2005 at her home in Victoria, British Columbia. Audrey was born in Toronto, Ontario and resided in Brantford and Bala, Ontario and Victoria, British Columbia. She is the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Ann NEEDHAM. She was predeceased by her husband William George WESTOVER (Bill,) son Timothy, sisters Elsie, Marjorie and Dorothy and her grand_son Robert McGINNIS. She is survived by her son John (Frances DODSWORTH) of Victoria and daughter Mary (Glenn McGINNIS) of Phoenix, Arizona three grand_sons, Nicholas WESTOVER of Victoria, Graham (Kristin) of Tucson, Arizona and Duncan (Sarah) of Katy, Texas; three great granddaughters; Hailey and Alexa McGINNIS of Tucson and Madison McGINNIS of Katy. Audrey was a friend and mentor to many men and women both within and beyond her family.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 17 from 6: 30 to 8:30 p.m. at McCall Bros. Funeral Home, 1400 Vancouver St. Victoria, B.C.
A funeral service will be held at Saint John the Divine Anglican church, 1611 Quadra St. Victoria at 2: 00 p.m. Tuesday October 18, Reverend Harold Munn officiating. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Weston, Ontario. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2005, with her daughters by her side at Rouge Valley Hospital, Ajax. Dear and loving mother of Barbara and her husband Jack McGINNIS of Claremont and Karen and her husband Stephen BIND of Brooklin. Much loved Nana of Rachael and Marisa, Ed, Jenna, Jason, and Shannon. Fondly missed by family in England. Stella will be remembered for many things, especially her love of books, dance, and the arts. She left many treasured memories from her years of work with senior citizens. Her family and Friends will draw comfort when they think of the special sparkle in her eyes, her passion for knowledge and her spirited love of social causes. Stella was "one of a kind".
