Golf and Curling Club and as the Industrial Commissioner of Ridgetown.
He was also a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. Family

ORMSTON passed away peacefully at the Freeport
Health Centre on Thursday, April 14, 2005 after a brief illness.
Ellie is survived by her brother Ian C.

Ellie was a special
aunt to her nine great nieces and nephews and was very devoted
to each of them.
Ellie was predeceased in 1939 by her mother, Dorothy, and by
her father Charles Mowbray
ORMSTON in 1945, as well as by her
brother Leslie in 1921, Roger in 1938, her sister Ursula in 1971,
and her sister-in-law Marguerite in 2000.
Ellie was born in Montreal on June 24, 1924 and developed a particular
love for travel. She attended Miss Weston's School in Westmount
and Mount Allison Ladies' College in New Brunswick. She worked
at the Veteran's Hospital in Montreal for many years before moving
to Waterloo in 1997 to be closer to her family. While in Waterloo,
she resided at Luther Village.
A service of remembrance for Ellie's family and her Friends will
be held at the Luther Village Chapel on Father David Bauer Drive
in Waterloo on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 3: 30 p.m. There will
be a private interment at the Blair Cemetery at a future date.
Ellie's family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at
Grand River Hospital and the Freeport Health Centre for the excellent
care she received. The family is particularly grateful to Dr.
Elliot WILLIAMSON for his sensitivity in meeting Ellie's needs
and the needs of her family.

Burlington. John began a 25 year career with the Royal Canadian
Air Force in 1940 training on Gypsy Moth biplanes at Mt. Hope
Airport where he graduated at the top of his class. Following
his commissioning as a Pilot Officer, he served as a flying instructor
before a tour of ops as a fighter pilot with the 418 Mosquito
Squadron in England during 1943-44. John earned an Ace designation
with this night intruder squadron which became the Royal Canadian
Air Force's top scoring squadron in World War 2. After the War,
he attended the University of Toronto graduating in Aeronautical
Engineering in 1949. He returned to the Royal Canadian Air Force
with postings at Namao, Alberta; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Royal Military
College, Kingston; Greenwood, Nova Scotia and National Defence
Headquarters in Ottawa. Following integration of the services
in 1967, he took early retirement and joined Northwest Industries,
a division of
CAE, in Edmonton becoming their Vice President,
Technology. In the last 8 years of his working career, he served
as Dean of Science and Technology at Georgian College in Barrie
where he and Marg spent many enjoyable times sailing on Lake
Simcoe. Not one to retire completely, C.J. (as he was known)
designed and built his own lakeside home near Picton, Ontario
where they lived until moving to Toronto in 1986 to be closer
to their kids and growing numbers of grandchildren. He continued
to fly until age 75 and maintained a close association with his
beloved 418 Mosquito squadron buddies. In his own words, John
'had a marvelous life.' His family wishes to thank the staff
at Sunnybrook Hospital Veteran's Wing for their excellent care.
A private family service will be held to celebrate his life later
in the new year. If wished, donations may be made to the charity

Bill" (1931-2005)
Peacefully on the morning of August 15, 2005 after a courageous
battle with lung cancer. Bill fought his illness with deep faith,
grace and good humour. He is survived by his best friend and
loving wife of 46 years, Mary. Adored and admired by his daughters
Geraldine (Geri), and Frances (1967-1976). "Willie" will be missed
by his brothers James (Hazel), Francie (Bell) and sisters Pauline
(Tommy), Margaret and Kathleen (Mel) and their families, (predeceased
by Sarah and Edmund). Bill was a devoted member of St. Louis
Parish, Waterloo since 1973 and a member of the Eucharistic Team
since its inception in 1983. With deep gratitude his family thanks
the parish pastoral team, community health care nurses Joan and
