Ninevah Council #3, Burleigh Perceptory #21, President of the Trumpet Band, Drum Major and of the Directors Board and was the longest surviving Past President of the Hi-Ro Shrine (1959), Past Association President, Charter Hillbilly member, Ambassador for Mocha Temple, member of the Camel Coach Unit, Chief Director of the Shrine Circus and a member of the Starlight Lodge, Florida. Bill was a life member of the Elgin Conservative Association. Mr. Walter Thomas CORNISH, age 85, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre, Westminister Campus on Sunday, June 26, 2005. Born in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan, son of the late Harry CORNISH and the former Ellen ALLINSON. He served in the Royal Engineers and was overseas for four and a half years. Walter was employed at Canadian Tire, McKerlie Automotive and Kehl Automotive retiring in 1984 due to ill health.

ORMSTON, Eleanor J. (1924-2005)
Eleanor (Ellie) ORMSTON passed away peacefully at the Freeport Health Centre on Thursday, April 14, 2005 after a brief illness.
Ellie is survived by her brother Ian C. ORMSTON; her niece Leslie ORMSTON; a second niece, Diana, and her husband John SPEARN a nephew Charlie ORMSTON and his wife Elaine. Ellie was a special aunt to her nine great nieces and nephews and was very devoted to each of them.
Ellie was predeceased in 1939 by her mother, Dorothy, and by her father Charles Mowbray ORMSTON in 1945, as well as by her brother Leslie in 1921, Roger in 1938, her sister Ursula in 1971, and her sister-in-law Marguerite in 2000.
Ellie was born in Montreal on June 24, 1924 and developed a particular love for travel. She attended Miss Weston's School in Westmount and Mount Allison Ladies' College in New Brunswick. She worked at the Veteran's Hospital in Montreal for many years before moving to Waterloo in 1997 to be closer to her family. While in Waterloo, she resided at Luther Village.
A service of remembrance for Ellie's family and her Friends will be held at the Luther Village Chapel on Father David Bauer Drive in Waterloo on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 3: 30 p.m. There will be a private interment at the Blair Cemetery at a future date.
Ellie's family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Grand River Hospital and the Freeport Health Centre for the excellent care she received. The family is particularly grateful to Dr. Elliot WILLIAMSON for his sensitivity in meeting Ellie's needs and the needs of her family.

Margaret MacKENZIE (née CARDNO) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 05, 2005 at Post Inn Village, Oakville. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Samuel John MacKENZIE and brothers Nelson and John. She is survived by her sons Sandy (Betty) and David (Ann,) daughter Marna BREARLEY, eight grandchildren, Boyd (Maureen) BREARLEY, Peter (Marney) MacKENZIE, Greg (Heather) MacKENZIE, Allan BREARLEY, Jonathan (Deborah) MacKENZIE, Scott BREARLEY, Andrew (Trisha) MacKENZIE, and Beth (Alan) WILLIAMSON, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Margaret was born in Seaforth, Ontario on April 20, 1912. She attended and graduated from MacDonald College, Guelph in 1935. Margaret lived in Georgetown, Ontario from 1936 until her death. In June 2004 Margaret was bestowed the title of Honorary Companion of the University of Guelph, Class of '35. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. at the J.S. Peacefully, on August 24th, 2005, in her 81st year. Agnes was predeceased by her beloved husband, Andrew, in 1995. She is sadly missed by her son Pierre, and his wife Nancy, and her grandchildren Patrick and James. Agnes is the daughter of Paul WALDER and Margaret SCHULCZ, and was born in Budapest. She left Hungary in 1948 and emigrated to Canada in 1950. In accordance with her wishes Agnes was privately cremated. The family thanks Grand River Hospital Freeport▲ Centre Palliative staff and Dr. WILLIAMSON, for their professional and devoted care. Born January 22, 1920 in Hamilton Ontario, John EVANS passed away peacefully on December 8, 2005 at age 85. Predeceased by Marguerite his loving wife and sweetie of 58 years, brothers Roy and Philip, and sister Dorothy. Devoted father of son Rob and wife Gay, Etobicoke and daughters Eve and husband Paul MARTIN, Toronto, Jan and husband Brian CHURCHILL, Etobicoke and Pat and husband John WILLIAMSON, California. Is greatly missed by his 13 grandchildren Emily, Lyrandra, Bob, Caitlin, Victoria, Michael, Joe and wife Sarah PALLETT, Alex, Tommy, Mike, James, Alanna, Cayleigh, and great grand_son Matthew. Survived by sister Win and husband Ed STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, Cambridge and sister-in law Kathryn, Burlington. John began a 25 year career with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940 training on Gypsy Moth biplanes at Mt. Hope Airport where he graduated at the top of his class. Following his commissioning as a Pilot Officer, he served as a flying instructor before a tour of ops as a fighter pilot with the 418 Mosquito Squadron in England during 1943-44. John earned an Ace designation with this night intruder squadron which became the Royal Canadian Air Force's top scoring squadron in World War 2. After the War, he attended the University of Toronto graduating in Aeronautical Engineering in 1949. He returned to the Royal Canadian Air Force with postings at Namao, Alberta; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Royal Military College, Kingston; Greenwood, Nova Scotia and National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa. Following integration of the services in 1967, he took early retirement and joined Northwest Industries, a division of CAE, in Edmonton becoming their Vice President, Technology. In the last 8 years of his working career, he served as Dean of Science and Technology at Georgian College in Barrie where he and Marg spent many enjoyable times sailing on Lake Simcoe. Not one to retire completely, C.J. (as he was known) designed and built his own lakeside home near Picton, Ontario where they lived until moving to Toronto in 1986 to be closer to their kids and growing numbers of grandchildren. He continued to fly until age 75 and maintained a close association with his beloved 418 Mosquito squadron buddies. In his own words, John 'had a marvelous life.' His family wishes to thank the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital Veteran's Wing for their excellent care. A private family service will be held to celebrate his life later in the new year. SMITH, William Francis " Bill" (1931-2005)
Peacefully on the morning of August 15, 2005 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Bill fought his illness with deep faith, grace and good humour. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 46 years, Mary. Adored and admired by his daughters Geraldine (Geri), and Frances (1967-1976). "Willie" will be missed by his brothers James (Hazel), Francie (Bell) and sisters Pauline (Tommy), Margaret and Kathleen (Mel) and their families, (predeceased by Sarah and Edmund). Bill was a devoted member of St. Louis Parish, Waterloo since 1973 and a member of the Eucharistic Team since its inception in 1983. With deep gratitude his family thanks the parish pastoral team, community health care nurses Joan and Katie, Dr. K. BEDROSIAN and Dr. E. WILLIAMSON and the wonderful nursing team at Freeport (Union Terrace West) for their compassion, kindness and special care. Peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Fairmount Home in Kingston, in his 93rd year, secure in the love of his family. Beloved husband of the late Elsie May HOLLAND. Loving father of John SHERBINO (Laurie GORDON.) Cherished grandfather of Carl SHERBINO (Michelle) and Christopher GORDON, and proud great grandfather of Eric and Adam SHERBINO. Vern is survived by his brother, Earl SHERBINO (Elva) of Woodbridge, Ontario. He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, Lodge brethren, and Friends, new and old.
