Mrs. Wilma (WIGFIELD) MILLS, formerly of Saint Thomas, passed away at Thamesview Lodge, Chatham on Sunday, May 22, 2005, in her 78th year. Wife of the late Robert A. “Bob” MILLS (1999.) Mother of Gail, Terry, Dean and his wife Barb, and the late Janice (1996). Grandmother of Keri, Rebecca, Tim, Stephanie, Robert and the late Richard “Rich” (1997). Sister of Norma and her husband Stan, Marjorie, and Gerald and his wife Kathleen. Also survived by a sister-in-law Linda, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Born in Mersea Twp., Ontario, October 4, 1927, daughter of the late Dalton and Vina (TOFFLEMIRE) WIGFIELD. There will be no public visitation. Loving grandmother of David and his wife Joanne, Michael, Christopher and Becky, Jenelle and Matthew and great-grandmother of Connor and Emily-Anne. Donna was born in Saint Thomas on May 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Arthur and Vivian (SMITH) WIGGINS. Donna attended Alma College and worked for Gould's Department Store and then at the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital a number of years in medical records. She was an avid gardener and was associated with the Sparta United Church. Passed away in his 85th year, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby, on March 18, 2005. Predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Dinah▼ (née PENTLAND.) son of (G.W.) Bill and Pearl BRECKON and survived by his sister, Bernice and brother-in-law, Ed WIGGINS. Edgar was a farmer most of his life, dairy with his father and fruit orchards with his wife. Born in Burlington, Ontario, he also resided in Oakville and Stoney Creek. He was co-founder of the Junior Sailing Schools at both B.H.Y.C. and B.S.B.C. and involved in the volunteer program T.O.W.A.R.F. His love of sailing was followed by flying and travel with Dinah in the motorhome that he built. As per Edgar's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. His ashes will be placed in Appleby Cemetery, Burlington, Ontario.

WIGGINS, Sidney▼
Beloved▼ son of Louis Emmanuel WIGGINS and Ada Edith Cooper WIGGINS, passed peacefully Friday, August 19, 2005 in Newmarket, Ontario. He is predeceased by his brother, Arthur. A dearly beloved and adored husband and father, he is survived by his wife, Olga, and seven children, Alan, Archie, Susan, Natalie, Christine, Rosemary and Eve, seven grandchildren and three great grand_sons.
Sidney was born August 7, 1920 in London, England. At the young age of 17, he joined the British army and rose to the rank of Major. A decorated World War 2 veteran mentioned in Despatch as a result of his action with the Greek Mountain Brigade and his action in Egypt, Sidney served with the Queen's Royal Regiment, Eighth Army. He first fought in France and Belgium, and was one of lucky few evacuated at Dunkirk. He went on to fight in North Africa for two years, then was selected for officer training and sent to Palestine where he distinguished himself as the top cadet and received the award of the Sam Brown from the King of Jordan. In 1943 he was redeployed to Italy where he fought in the battle of Monte Casino. After this decisive battle he was sent to Greece where he again distinguished himself and was promoted to Town Major of Thebes and Calcas, and was presented with the Greek Order of Merit by the King of Greece. Other wartime accolades include the title of Eighth Army welterweight boxing champion. After the war he rejoined Dolcis Shoe Company where he had worked as a stock boy before joining the army. In 1951 he immigrated to Canada to work for Dolcis and then Bally Canada serving as President and General Manager for 20 years and retiring in 1986. A natural born leader with a strong sense of duty, humility and a joy for life, Sidney was admired and respected by many. An outdoor enthusiast, some of his happiest times were spent fishing and vacationing in Northern Ontario.

With sorrow, the family of John D'Angelo announce his peaceful passing on September 10th after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Shelley (née WIGHAM.) Profoundly loved by his mother, Ancilla and father Ivo (deceased). A good friend to William (Bill) and Anne WIGHAM (Calgary.) John was a man of honour and high standards. A graduate of University of Toronto (Honours, B.Sc.) and University of Western Ontario (M.B.A.) his work in the world of technology and finance brought him great satisfaction and garnered him many life long Friendships. His thirst for knowledge was unquenchable and his love of writing culminated in the book he believed in each and every one of us. John will be remembered as an old soul by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the entire care team at Princess Margaret Hospital, especially Dr. David HEDLEY, Dr. John KIM, Dr. Dori SECARRECCIA, Dr. BRYSON, Dr. Madeline LI and the compassionate professionals on the 16th floor.
John will be cremated as he wished. Ruth was a life member of the Bothwell United Church, serving as organist, Sunday School teacher and on all committees of the church, and was a 60 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #87. Dearly loved by daughters Barbara HAMILTON and her husband Thomas of Vineland, Janet WARD of London and a son Robert EVERINGHAM of Bothwell. Loving grandmother of Erin Ward of London. With her husband and children at her side and surrounded by the love of her family, Katherine passed away at her home on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the age of 36. Katherine leaves behind her loving and faithful husband Marco VOETS and their three little ones, Cassandra, Mikayla and Joey. Katherine is survived by her mother Marlene JOHNSON and her husband Fred of Windsor and by her father Cecil KEATING and his wife Lovette of Dresden. Also surviving is her grandmother Sylvia WRIGHT of Blenheim. Also surviving is a sister Sherry HARDACRE and her husband John of Redford, Michigan as well as brothers Mark KEATING of Windsor and Michael KEATING and his wife Bonnie of Winnipeg. Katherine's extended family includes her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nellie and Harry VOETS of Blenheim, as well as sisters-in-law, Jo-Ann and Rick WIGHTMAN of Blenheim, Marion SMITH and Steve CUTLER of Blenheim, Ellie VOETS- STERLING and Steve of Blenheim and Angeline, Troy Humber of Belle River as well as several nieces and nephews. Katherine and Marco would also like to offer special thanks to close Friends Linda MURRAY, Tina ZIMMER, Michael STONE, and Tammy SAVAGE.
Katherine's family received Friends at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home for visitation on Sunday and Monday, May 22 and 23. Katherine's funeral service was conducted from Glad Tidings Community Church, Blenheim on Tuesday, May 24 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Bruce COOK of the Blenheim United Church officiating. During the Funeral Service Kelly BUCHANANA offered special words of remembrance. Douglas JOHN played and sang, "The Dance," written by Garth Brooks. Acting as pallbearers were Rick WIGHTMAN, Steve CUTLER, Chris VANDEWIELE, Steve STERLING, Troy HUMBER and Marnie BUCHANANA. At Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, Mr. Robert John O'MARA of Innisfil, and formerly of Listowel, in his 56th year. Beloved son of Jack and Lois O'MARA of London. Dear brother of Richard and Wendy O'MARA of Barrie, and Janice and Dan WIGHTON of London. Uncle of Kendra and Kelsi WIGHTON, and Pam and Cindy MALLION. Predeceased by his mother Gladys (BROWN) O'MARA, and by his nephew Dustin WIGHTON. Visitation will be held at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel on Friday from 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 11: 00 a.m. Reverend Steven COX officiating.
