David was a member of the Simcoe Historical Society, and the Eva Brook-Donley Museum as well as a former employee of Domglass in Hamilton and Burtch Correctional Facility. Loved▼ mother of Jennifer (Allan) WATT of St. Albert, Alberta and Sheila (David) SMITH of Oak Bay, British Columbia; proud grandmother of Pattie (Ryan) WATT and Caroline WATT of St. Albert great grandmother of Reegan; also survived by her brother, Brendan (Libby) MacKEN of Richmond Hill, Ontario and Jim (Maureen) MacKEN of Richmond, British Columbia. Numerous nieces and nephews in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta. Patricia was born and raised in Westmont, Quebec and attended St. Paul's Academy. Upon graduation from high school she entered the College of William & Mary at Williamsburg, Virginia. She was a former Canadian Open woman's tennis champion. Seven time Montreal City and district ladies champion. Province of Quebec ladies champion, five times Province of Ontario ladies singles champion plus Manitoba, Alberta and the State of Vermont ladies tennis champion. In 2001 Patricia was inducted into the Quebec Tennis Hall of Fame by the Quebec Tennis Federation stating, "we are very proud to count you as one of the most important players in the history of Quebec and Canadian Tennis." She was nominated by the Canadian press in 1950 as the female tennis athlete of the half century. For 20 years she was the former office manager/bookkeeper in the Vancouver offices of Coleman (Coley) Hall, original owner of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League. Patricia moved to Vancouver with her daughters from Montreal in 1973. She relocated to St. Albert, Alberta in 1999 and resided at the Chateau Mission Court. In the spring of 2004 Patricia moved to Oak Bay, British Columbia to live with her daughter until her passing. Pat will be deeply missed by her Friends in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.

Loved and loving father of Michelle (David WATT,) Linda▲▼ (Michael▼ KUCAN,) and Darren (Lorena.) Proud▼ grandfather of Ryan and John KUCAN, Elsa▼ FUERST, Katie (Trevor) WALLACE, and Lindsay WATT. Brother▼ of Gordon (Joyce) FUERST of Edmonton. Predeceased by his parents William and Ella FUERST of Bashaw, Alberta. Born and raised on the family farm in Alberta, he became the first member of his rural community to attend university. He excelled academically, receiving both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree from the University of Alberta, and a Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. Following the completion of his doctorate, he was awarded a Fellowship to the Pasteur Institute at Paris, France, where he worked from 1955 to 1957. He remained ever grateful to the Canadian academic community for the scholarship funds that had permitted him to pursue his education, and so, on the completion of his Fellowship, he elected to return to Canada. He worked as a Molecular Geneticist at the Ontario Cancer Institute (Princess Margaret Hospital) and became a Professor in the Departments of Medical Genetics and Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. Honesty, integrity and the pursuit of excellence were the values that guided his life. At his request, a private family service will take place, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation - Cancer Research Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Years ago, between the seas, there was born a child of needs. Her mother left, her father quit, uncertain futures on mercy's steps. Take this child, her fears quell, raise this child and love her well. When she asks, let them tell, there were those who loved her well. Norma HILL passed quickly after a valiant battle resisting death on February 17, 2005 at the Eden Care Home in Chilliwack, at the age of 88 years. She was born in York County, Ontario on January 24, 1917. Norma is survived by her loving daughter Norma WATT and her husband John in Yarrow, British Columbia and loving sister Laura (Worsley) COLBERT of Peterborough, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, and the caring family of George and Laura WORSLEY of Toronto. Norma will always be remembered in the communities of Toronto, Ottawa, Ladysmith, Burnaby, White Rock and the Eden Care Home as a spunky little lady of quick wit and high energy. Passed peacefully at Guelph General Hospital, March 1, 2005 following a sudden downturn. Survived by daughter Courtney Laura WATT, granddaughters Aspen and Hailey, and brothers Ron and Terry CROWLEY (and his partner Terry JACKMAN.) Predeceased by her parents Wilf and Dorothy CROWLEY. Marilyn was a truly wonderful woman, kind and charitable to all, a friend to the friendless, and someone who exemplified the Christian values she espoused. She will be sorely missed by all who knew or loved her. "She finally got the window that she wanted, just that it was in the wrong place." At Mount Sinai Hospital on March 7, 2005 in his 77th year, as a result of complications due to Parkinson's Disease. Cherished husband of 52 years of Katherine. Loved and loving father of Michelle (David WATT,) Linda▲ (Michael▲ KUCAN,) and Darren (Lorena.) Proud▲ grandfather of Ryan and John KUCAN, Elsa▲ FUERST, Katie (Trevor) WALLACE, and Lindsay WATT. Brother▲ of Gordon (Joyce) FUERST of Edmonton. Predeceased by his parents William and Ella FUERST of Bashaw, Alberta. Born and raised on the family farm in Alberta, he became the first member of his rural community to attend university. He excelled academically, receiving both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree from the University of Alberta, and a Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. Following the completion of his doctorate, he was awarded a Fellowship to the Pasteur Institute at Paris, France, where he worked from 1955 to 1957. He remained ever grateful to the Canadian academic community for the scholarship funds that had permitted him to pursue his education, and so, on the completion of his Fellowship, he elected to return to Canada. He worked as a Molecular Geneticist at the Ontario Cancer Institute (Princess Margaret Hospital) and became a Professor in the Departments of Medical Genetics and Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. Honesty, integrity and the pursuit of excellence were the values that guided his life. At his request, a private family service will take place, followed by cremation.
