School in 1936. He was a member of the law firm Stubbs, Stubbs
and Stubbs and was Secretary of the Manitoba Law Society from
1958-1981. Upon his retirement he was appointed Secretary Emeritus
of the Manitoba Law Society. He was Secretary Treasurer of the
Conference of Governing Bodies of the Legal Profession in Canada,
1960-1972. Also was a Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba,
Lecturer at Manitoba Law School, President of the Manitoba Bar
Association 1957-1958. Appointed to Queens Council in January
1953. He served in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian
Air Force 1941 to 1945 as pilot and flying officer. A celebration
of his life will be held on Sunday, June 19 at Southwood Golf
and Country Club from 1-4 p.m. Donations in his memory may be

School in the early 1930s. She taught in North York at Old Yonge
Street School, Queen Mary School and Goulding Memorial School.
In 1946 she organized a Speech Correction Program in North York
which she carried on until 1968, then she returned to the classroom
to teach the hard-of-hearing class at Cameron Avenue Public School.
After 36 years of teaching, Jean retired to enjoy other aspects
of her life. She will be long remembered by her many Friends
and acquaintances as one who enjoyed life to the fullest. Friends
may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at
Goulding, south of Steeles), on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and on
Wednesday, May 18, 2005 from 10 a.m. until time of Service in

by brother William. Jim retired from Toronto Hydro after twenty-eight
years of service. He was a Veteran of World War 2, serving in
Western Canada and overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force
He was with the No. 5 M.F.P.S. (Military Field Photographic Service).
He will be lovingly remembered by his family, many nieces, nephews
and many Friends for the kindnesses he did. Please think of Jim
and pass on those kindnesses to others. Resting at the Paul O'Conner

School in the early 1930s. She taught in North York at Old Yonge
Street School, Queen Mary School and Goulding Memorial School.
In 1946, she organized a Speech Correction Program in North York
which she carried on until 1968, then she returned to the classroom
to teach the hard-of-hearing class at Cameron Avenue Public School.
After 36 years of teaching, Jean retired to enjoy other aspects
of her life. She will be long remembered by her many Friends
and acquaintances as one who enjoyed life to the fullest. Friends
may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding,
south of Steeles), on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and

born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, educated there, as
well as at Edgehill School for Girls, Dalhousie University (B.A.
1927) and U. of T. (M.A. 1931) and she had lived in Halifax since
1933. She served a term as Dalhousie Alumni Representative on
the Dalhousie Board of Governors, she was involved with Saint John
Ambulance and for many years was a member of the Auxiliary of
the Halifax Children's Hospital

vibrant, generous and caring. A service to celebrate her remarkable
