On 22 September 2005, at the age of 88, in Toronto. Beloved daughter of the late Sophia (PALEOLOGOU) and John PERGANDIS and cherished sister and sister-in-law of Maria and the late Dean SPERDAKOS adored and adoring aunt and aunt-in-law to Paula SPERDAKOS and Jim MONTGOMERY and to Sophia SPERDAKOS and Robert CLARK, and doting great-aunt to Jordan and Matthew. For Paula and Sophia, "Georgie" was our own Auntie Mame, introducing us to the glories of her favourite city in the world, New York, as each of us turned 10 years old, and teaching us so much about the journey of life. We will all remember Georgie for her great flamboyance and flare, her passionate love of the sun and the sea, her respect and affection for all the earth's creatures, her intelligence and humanism and life-long seeking, her generosity, her fluency in three languages, her consummate skill in sewing, crocheting and knitting, and most of all for the depth and breadth and constancy of her love for her family.

At Terrace Lodge, Aylmer, (formerly of R.R.#1 Brownsville), on Sunday, April 17, 2005, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Lela Jean (SANGSTER) for almost 67 years. Dearly loved father of Helen Jeanne BAUMAN/BOWMAN (John) of London and John Laverne, of Edmonton. Loved father-in-law of Anne PRESSEY (Bob SPERO) of Edmonton. Phin's five grandchildren Steven BAUMAN/BOWMAN (Debra) Bracebridge, David BAUMAN/BOWMAN (Karen) Courtice, Bonnie BAUMAN/BOWMAN (Oshawa), Heather SCOTT (PRESSEY), Edmonton, John Paul PRESSEY (Tracy) Vancouver will remember him every day. His eight great-grandchildren Carlie, Sidney, Parker Richard PHINEAS and Molly BAUMAN/BOWMAN, Alexander and Andrew SCOTT, Bailey and Cooper BAUMAN/BOWMAN, will miss their special "Papa." Phin will also be remembered by his loving church family, at Avondale Zion, United Church, Tillsonburg.
Phin was the son of Oren and Laila PRESSEY (SHEPHARD) and was predeceased by his parents and brothers Norman, and Keith and sister Marie BOWES. Survived by a brother-in-law Murray BOWES and a sister-in-law Elva HANSEN and many nieces and nephews.
Among his many accomplishments, Phin was Grand Master, of the Springfield Masonic Lodge, a Councillor, Deputy Reeve, and Reeve of Dereham Township, and was active on several Library Boards. He served on The Catfish Creek Conservation Authority, for over forty-one years. He was the livestock evaluator for his township for many years. Phin bought and sold livestock from his Cloverdale farm for over forty years. Visitation will be at the Verhoeve Funeral Home, 262 Broadway, in Tillsonburg, on Friday April 22, from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and again from 12:30 until the Funeral Service at 2: 00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2005, by Reverend Margaret MURRAY of Avondale Zion United Church, Tillsonburg. Interment to follow in Delmer Cemetery. It is with great sadness that peacefully after a courageous struggle on April 3, 2005, in her 53rd, Karin suddenly passed away. Wife of Barry, her loving and devoted husband. Daughter of Joan Rae (PILBY) and daughter-in-law of Allan and Joy ASH. Sister of Judy (Ken TOMPKINS), Susan (Ken MacDONALD) and Donna (Rino SPEZZA). Sister-in-law to Valerie and Don BELL. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Karin lived a wonderful life on the Island on Kasshabog Lake, full of adventures and happy times. Karin loved to garden and entertain with her own style and grace. She was an Auditor at the Ministry of Finance in Oshawa. Special thanks to sister Susan for the bone marrow transplant, we all had great hopes. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2005, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Warsaw Town Hall, Ontario.
