are saddened to announce her passing at Saint Mary's Hospital,
London on August 24, 2005. In 1975, Charlotte was predeceased
by her loving husband Dr. George
SHARPE, longtime friend and
veterinarian to farmers in the Milverton area. Charlotte was
the the eldest in a family of eight, born in 1913 to Eliza and
John McANINCH of Guelph Township. She is survived by her only
sister Grace
McANINCH
(Norman
ARGUE) and 4 sisters-in-law. Also
surviving are ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren
whom she adored, each of them adding a special dimension of joy
to her life in their own way.
A resident of Milverton for over sixty year, Charlotte took a
keen and active interest in community affairs. Charlotte was
a member of Christ Church Anglican and served as choir director
and warden for many years. After moving to London, she continued
to work as a member and faithful servant at St. Luke's Church.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral
Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton will take place at 1: 00 p.m. on
Saturday September 17, 2005 followed at 2: 00 p.m. by a service
to honour the life of Charlotte
SHARPE.

88. Born in Chatham, Ontario on June 11th, 1916, the

Betty SHARPE; and many nieces and nephews. Graduate of McGill
University B.A. (1938) and B.C.L. (1941), where he was President
of the Student Society and played on the 1938 Championship Rugby
Team. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War 2,
Lieutenant, Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve. He initially
practiced private law in Montreal, then worked at Shawinigan
Water and Power Company. He was Vice President and Secretary
of the Royal Trust Company of Canada. In 1967, he moved to Toronto
as Vice President and General Manager of Victoria and Grey Trust
Company until his retirement. He later spent many years serving
as the Secretary/ Treasurer of The Canadian Club (Toronto). Active
member of the Glenview Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian
Church of Canada (as Elder, Treasurer, member of the Building
Society and director of the Canadian Bible Society); and the
Chartered Institute of Secretaries; a teacher of corporate law
and a governor of Sir George Williams University. Author of several
books, including Canadian Secretarial Practice, 'From Country
Trust to National Trust' (a history of the National Trust Company),
a history of the Canadian Clubs, and 'Who Said That?' (a compilation
of Empire Club speeches). Member of the Donalda Club (Toronto)
and the Hermitage Club (Magog, Quebec). He was also a musician
and long-time volunteer pianist for the veterans at Sunnybrook
Hospital. Friends may call at the Trull 'North Toronto' Funeral

Health Sciences Centre (Veteran's Wing), Toronto, at the age
of 88. Born in Chatham, Ontario on June 11th, 1916, the son of
Russell Stanley and Alice Maude

Graduate of McGill University B.A. (1938) and B.C.L. (1941),
where he was President of the Student Society and played on the
1938 Championship Rugby Team. He served in the Royal Canadian
Navy during World War 2, Lieutenant, Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer
Reserve. He initially practised private law in Montreal, then
worked at Shawinigan Water and Power Company. He was Vice-President
and Secretary of the Royal Trust Company of Canada. In 1967,
he moved to Toronto as Vice-President and General Manager of
Victoria and Grey Trust Company until his retirement. He later
spent many years serving as the Secretary/Treasurer of The Canadian
Club (Toronto). Active member of the Glenview Presbyterian Church
and the Presbyterian Church of Canada (as Elder, Treasurer, member
of the Building Society and Director of the Canadian Bible Society)
and the Chartered Institute of Secretaries; a teacher of corporate
law; and a Governor of Sir George Williams University. Author
of several books, including Canadian Secretarial Practice, "From
Country Trust to National Trust" (a history of the National Trust
Company), a history of the Canadian Clubs, and "Who Said That?"
(a compilation of Empire Club speeches). Member of the Donalda
Club (Toronto) and the Hermitage Club (Magog, Quebec). He was
also a musician and long-time volunteer pianist for the veterans
at Sunnybrook Hospital. Friends may call at the Trull "North

on August 4, 1915, Norm graduated from the U. of Saskatchewan.
'36 with an Honours Degree in Mathematics, completed a one year
teaching fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, and completed
his M.A. in Mathematics at U. of T. Norm taught at Upper Canada
College for 21 years, continued within the Etobicoke Board of
Education, and was recipient of numerous awards including the
Descartes Medal from Waterloo University. Norm co-authored and
consulted on mathematics texts as well as serving as President
of the Ontario Mathematics Commission. Norm served the community
as a past president of the Metro Toronto Hockey League, Past
Master of the Huron Bruce Masonic Lodge, and Past Chairman of
the Council for Deer Park United Church. Norm was predeceased
by Helen, his wife of 60 years, and sons Matthew and Jimmy, and

SHARRATT. An employee of the London Police
Department for over 30 years, Cathy held the distinction of being
appointed London's first female Police Officer in 1974. Cathy
will be missed by her many Friends and co-workers at the Police
Department. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2: 00- 4:00
and 7: 00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland
Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday,
January 6th, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation and interment of ashes
at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory
of Cathy are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
