The world lost a wonderful man suddenly, Thursday, December 22nd, 2005 in his 80th year at Nanaimo Regional Hospital in British Columbia. Loving father to Jim (Robbin) GOULD of Brampton, Ontario, also to Jean, Sue and Annie GOULD of Toronto, Ontario and Ronald GOULD of Florida. Beloved Grandfather to Matt, Phillip, Meggan and Mitchell GOULD of Brampton, Ontario. We love you Grandpa GOULD! Beloved and loving companion to Hazel WHITTINGHAM of Parksville, British Columbia. He will be greatly missed by Hazel and her children Brenda SEELENMAYER (Paul ROUSE) and her children Sean and Clayton, also Corinne HILLSDEN (Glen) and their furry children Amber, Bailey and Cheena. He will also be missed by his step-children Sue SHERLOCK (Barry), Tom SHERLOCK (Sue) and Mary SHERLOCK. Arnold is survived by his brother Ross GOULD (Jeannette) of Scarborough, Ontario and by his sister Shirley GAUVREAU of Islington, Ontario. Beloved brother to the late Jack and Ken GOULD of Toronto, Ontario. He was a beloved son to the late Philip and Beatrice GOULD of Etobicoke, Ontario. Arnold retired after a 43-year employment at Canada Post, including Regional Director and President of Toronto Local Canadian Union of Postal Workers. He finished his career in Parksville, British Columbia. He was also a World War 2 Veteran, serving overseas with The Royal Canadian Air Force 419 and 429 Squadrons. Arnold was a loving and generous man and always had a smile or was willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbours, Friends and family. A service is to be held in Parksville, British Columbia, Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Parksville Funeral Home. There will also be a memorial held in Brampton, Ontario in January. (Details to follow in January).

At Lee Manor Nursing Home, on Sunday, April 24th, 2005 in his 85th year. John Edgar WRIGHT, beloved husband of the late Helen Jean (née SEWELL.) Devoted father of Elaine and her husband, David SEELER, of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Elizabeth and her husband, David ELLIS, of Guelph. Proud grandfather of Jennifer SEELER and Andrew and William ELLIS. Loving brother-in-law of Doris (Mrs. Ivan WRIGHT.) Dearest friend of Marion GILL. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. John will be greatly remembered by the Sewell family. Predeceased by his parents, John Leslie WRIGHT and his late wife, Cora Fernetta (née DRESSER) and by his brothers, Leslie and his late wife, Helen; George and his late wife, Mary; Ivan and by his sister, Anne (Mrs. Robert DUNCAN). John served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2 from 1940-45. He was also a dedicated member of both the Royal Canadian Legion and Central Westside United Church. Friends may call at the Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home, on Tuesday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Central Westside United Church, on Wednesday afternoon at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Dear grandfather to Sierra, Isabella, Elyssa and Madison. Will be sadly missed by many family and Friends. Lee was a longtime employee at Royal Bank. Suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, February 17, 2005. Valerie Jean (CHABOT) CUMMING, age 56, of Waterloo. Beloved wife of Barry CUMMING. Loving mother of Shawn BUCKLEY and wife Susan, Kevin BUCKLEY and girl friend Donna, Andrea WIRSCHKE and husband Kevin. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Curtis and Kaitlyn. Her loss is also deeply felt by her first husband Stephen BUCKLEY. Loving daughter of Vera CHABOT and the late Ronald CHABOT. SEETON, Doris Vera (née MOORE) (1907 to 2005)
Doris SEETON (née MOORE) passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2005 in Oakville in her ninety-eighth year. She will be greatly missed by son John and Rosemary, grand_son Richard and Dimple, great grand_sons Balen and Tayin, grand_sons Bruce, Patrick and Ian and Lori. Also, in South Africa, Patrick-David, Karin, Peter and Jennifer and all grandchildren and great-grandchildren record their respects at the passing of a truly exceptional, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
'Granny' SEETON was born on a farm near Winnipeg in 1907. The family moved back to England after her father was killed in action at Vimy Ridge. Doris trained at Hackney Hospital in London and went out to South Africa shortly before the Second World War with a contingent of Canadian nurses at the start-up of Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. There Doris married Patrick SEETON and raised three sons John, David and Richard. She joined John and family in Canada in 1977 where she focused her considerable energies on helping the family, gardening, Red Cross and the Weavers' Guild.
Doris spent six comfortable years at the Oakville Senior Citizens' Residence in Bronte and a year and a half at Wyndham Manor. The family thanks all the nurses and staff who took such good care of her.
Visitation will be at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street in Oakville on Friday, March 18th, 2005 from 4: 00 p.m. to be followed by a funeral service at 6: 00 p.m. Donations to the Red Cross or the Mississippi Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
