wit and dignity will be missed by her many good Friends and family

a prolific writer of horror and speculative fiction and over
the last four months, 19 of his short stories were published.
James received his masters degree from Queens University based
upon his thesis in the area of neuropsychopharmacology. This
thesis was published in the June 2003 issue of the Schizophrenia
Research Journal, the world's most referred to journal in the
area of Schizophrenia Research. James had recently accepted an
interim teaching position at Queens University and was in the
midst of submitting his Ph.D. thesis. A funeral service will
be held at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Avenue West,
Thornhill Ontario on Sunday May 15, 2005, at 11: 00 a.m. Shiva
will be observed at 154 Willowbrook Road, Thornhill. In lieu

9, 2005, dying peacefully at the Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll,
Ontario, at the age of 74, with his loving wife of 30 years,
Margaret, by his side. He will be sorely missed by his son Ken,
daughter-in-law Jane, granddaughters Stefany and Amanda of Ingersoll
and his daughter Alison of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Also
survived by his sister Nancy (Alan) in Wales, his brother John
(Jennie) and nephews George (Miranda) and Martin (Ro) in England.
Alan was born in Cardiff, Wales, and graduated from the University
of London and U.B.C. He worked in the field of polymer chemistry
in Sarnia, Toronto and Oakville. He was a gifted woodcarver and
carpenter, a skilled home renovator, an enthusiastic gardener
and a life-long opera-lover. He will be fondly remembered for
his joie de vivre and his often mischievous sense of humour.
At Alan's request there will be no funeral service. A gathering
where family and Friends can remember him is to be arranged at
a later date. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude

noon. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery.
