graduated a goldmedalist from the University of Manitoba Law
School in 1936. He was a member of the law firm Stubbs, Stubbs
and Stubbs and was Secretary of the Manitoba Law Society from
1958-1981. Upon his retirement he was appointed Secretary Emeritus
of the Manitoba Law Society. He was Secretary Treasurer of the
Conference of Governing Bodies of the Legal Profession in Canada,
1960-1972. Also was a Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba,
Lecturer at Manitoba Law School, President of the Manitoba Bar
Association 1957-1958. Appointed to Queens Council in January
1953. He served in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian
Air Force 1941 to 1945 as pilot and flying officer. A celebration
of his life will be held on Sunday, June 19 at Southwood Golf
and Country Club from 1-4 p.m. Donations in his memory may be

superb Grandmother to Geoffrey, Douglas and Lisa and will be
sorely missed by them as well as by her daughter-in-law Agnete

in 1989. She will be fondly remembered by her family and the

strong-willed and determined in everything she did. She was well-suited
to her long and successful career in nursing, and even better
