Peacefully at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Saturday, December 24, 2005. Doug DOLMAN at the age of 85 years. Loved father of Gord and Sharon, Barbara, Bob and Brenda, Sandy, Judy, and David and Melissa. Dear grandfather of Thomas, Geoffrey, Daniella, Jacqueline and Michael DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS. Predeceased by his brother Dr. R.S. DOLMAN and sister Joan ROTHENBUSH. He will also be missed by his special friend Chris DOCX of Belgium and will be fondly remembered by Margaret. Doug was a World War 2 veteran, joining the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry at age 17, serving much of his duty in Belgium. He later joined John Deere Canada where he contributed his best, until retirement, after 36 years. Private cremation and interment service. After a courageous battle with respiratory illness at Saint Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on February 7th, 2005, Mr. Grant Edward McKINNON in his 77th year. Loving father of Mark McKINNON and his wife Joan, Tammy and her husband Bill McBANE and Cheryl and her husband Jim THORNBORROW of Hamilton. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Darrin THORNBORROW of Hamilton, Jaylene ROTHER of British Columbia, Braden and Tayne McKINNON and Katelyn and Bryden McBANE of London. Predeceased by his brother Royden McKINNON and sister Shirley McKINNON. Grant will be remembered by his many co-workers at Eatons in London and Hamilton where he worked for more than 25 years. Daughter of the late Ernest FITZGERALD and the former Jean CARR. Marilyn is survived by twin daughters Janice and her husband Bob GURD and Janet and her husband Brian LASHMORE and one son Jim and his wife Deb ROTHERY all of Wallaceburg. Dear grandmother of Jennifer and David MIREAULT, Stephanie and Darrin LAURIN, Rob GURD, Kristen and Jay ROTHERY, Mickey and Julie LASHMORE. Great grandmother of Wade, Cody, Shyanna, Jacob and Jessica; brothers William FITZGERALD and his wife Grace R.R.#5 Dresden and Gordon FITZGERALD and his wife Norma of Port Lambton; sisters Ruth Ann FITZGERALD of London and Carolyn and her husband Tim CUMMINGS of Chatham; Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Meg passed away in Santa Cruz, California, on December 27, 2004, just three days before her 96th birthday. Meg was born and raised in Toronto, on Delaware Ave., north of Bloor St. After completing school, she ventured south, and settled in Chicago for 20 years, before moving to Santa Cruz in 1983. She owned and operated a sporting goods store in Chicago for many years, and was active there in martial-arts youth programs. In Santa Cruz she was a charter member of the Scotts Valley Senior Centre, where she participated in Seniorama for many years. She was an avid singer and actress, and wrote songs and skits for the revue and for senior shows. Her elaborate costumes were her own design and making. She also volunteered as a suicide prevention telephone counsellor. She enjoyed helping seniors, and, until near the end, driving them about. Meg always remembered the Toronto of her youth. Her visits to the city became fewer as the years passed, but when she came she liked to go and visit the old neighbourhood of Delaware near Hallam. Much changed over the years, the old Friends passed on or moved away, but much stayed the same. Her memories remained fresh. Her husband, James VAN BOSKIRK, and son, Harry Lee SMITH, died before her. She is survived by her grand_son, Maj. Shawn SMITH, United States Air Force of Monterey, California.; and by her daughter, Marilyn AMOS and her husband Earl; of Scotts Valley, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In Toronto she is survived by her nephew Fred WILSON and his wife Linda▼ ROTHMAN, and their two daughters. At Mrs. VAN BOSKIRK's request, there were no formal services. Died quickly of an aortic aneurysm in Muskoka in her 90th year with her usual grace and sweetness, surrounded by family and her dearest and best friend Syd JACKSON. Beloved wife, for 57 rich and wonderful years, of the late Stanley E. KERR, who died seven years ago. Cherished mother of Sheila (Dennis O'NEILL,) Kitty (Julian HAY,) and David. She adored her grandchildren: Carolyn O'NEILL (Lorne ROTHMAN), Kathleen O'NEILL Carter (Tony), Jennifer McCARTHY, Alex McCARTHY, Andrea, Roxanne and Austin KERR; and her great-grandchildren: Quinn and Arielle ROTHMAN, William Stanley CARTER and Annabel Viola CARTER. Born in 1915 in Toronto, the daughter of Clarence and Maudie WILGAR, sister of Adelaide BRADSHAW, Alan WILGAR, Warren WILGAR, and Dorothy BELL, Viola is the last of her generation. She attended Brown School and Havergal College, became a nurse at the Toronto Central Hospital, and after staying home with her children, engaged in a 40-year successful career in real estate at Johnston and Daniel. She continued to be involved in her many activities right up until the day she died. Not only was she involved in organizations such as Lawrence Park Community Church and the Serenata Singers, but also, played excellent bridge, threw dinner parties for Friends and family at her house, enjoyed the Muskoka cottage and travelling. She always kept in touch with Friends in good times and bad. She left this message for us: "Let not your hearts be troubled. I have lived long and well and have had and given lots of fun and laughter." The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Lily GLAZERMAN, daughter of the late Minnie and Leo RABINOVITCH was born in Ituna, Saskatchewan in 1920. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold GLAZERMAN of Calgary. She was the sister of David RABINOVITCH (deceased) and Goldie FURMAN. She passed away peacefully at Mt. Sinai Hospital on January 28, 2005, comforted by the love of her family including her daughters Brenda GLAZERMAN of Vancouver and Marsha ROTHSTEIN of Toronto and son-in-law Marty ROTHSTEIN. She was the adoring Baba of Rebecca and David EHRLICH, Michael ROTHSTEIN, Laura ROTHSTEIN, Tracy BOOTSMA, Jessica and Sara KNIGHT. Her great grandchildren Britney, Mariah (deceased,) Josh, Nicole and Michelle gave her much joy in her later years. Lily will be remembered fondly by her many Friends including the staff and residents of The Bradgate Arms. Loved aunt of Robert and Susan ARN and family, Connie ARN all of London, David and Carolyn ARN and family of R.R.#2 West Lorne, Jennifer and Roland ROTUNDA and family of Ottawa, James and Ursula BARDWELL and family of Ann Arbour, Michigan, Vivian and David ZARKOWER and family of St. Paul, Minnesota.
