It is with great sadness we announce his sudden passing, surrounded by loving Friends at the Lakeshore General Hospital, beloved husband of 59 years of the late Muriel (HINTON.)
Father of Wendy (Bob) McDONALD, Halifax, grandpa to Christopher J., Edmonton, and Andrew F., Sackville, New Brunswick, brother to Lorna WEST (deceased,) Alma D. (Allan) ROSSER, Yardley, Pennsylvania, Jean (Jesse) PEARCE, London, Ontario, uncle to many nieces and nephews, including Derek (Merle) RICHARDS and Scott RICHARDS (deceased).
A Queen's Graduate in 1934 (M.Sc. Math and Economics,) Mr. CLIFF went on to a successful career in banking with the Bank of Montreal, retiring in 1978 as Chief Accountant. Together, he and Muriel enjoyed a full and rewarding retirement filled with travel, photography and an appreciation of nature. Fraser participated in many volunteer activities with the Montreal Zoological Society, Lakeshore Camera Club, Catharine Traill Naturalists' Club, Beaconsfield Golf Club and the St. Lawrence Valley Natural History Society.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Cedar Park United Church or the St. Lawrence Valley Natural History Society.
At the request of Mr. CLIFF, direct cremation has taken place. Robertson and Scottlea Public Schools. Her tremendous love of books, theatre, music, ballet and opera shaped the lives of her daughters, and she delighted in sharing that love of the arts with her Friends in Toronto and St. Catharines who were an integral part of her life
and often her travel companions.
She will be remembered for her volunteer work with St. Stephen's Mission, and The Canadian Cancer Society. "Aunt Bob" has left her indelible footprints on the sands of our Muskoka beach. Thank you to the staff of Thompson House for the care of our mother.

After a brief battle with Burkitt's leukemia, Antonietta died peacefully in her 85th year at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto.▼ She▼ was the loving wife of the late Angelo ROSSETTI (1919-1975,) the beloved mother of Franca MOSS (Arthur,▼) Niagara▼ Falls, and Clara MADONIA (Paul,▼) Toronto,▼ and the caring Nonna of Angélique MOSS, and Adele and Andrea MADONIA. Antonietta▼ was born in Fontanafredda, Italy, and immigrated to Canada in 1950, having survived the Second World War in Ceolini, Italy. Proud of her independence, Antonietta lived until one week ago in the original home in Toronto she and her husband purchased in 1952. Until one month ago, she was blessed with good health and enjoyed cycling through Bloor West Village and working in her garden. Her zest for life, her boundless energy, and her love of family and Friends will be very much missed by everyone she touched. Albert A. ROSSIGNOL a resident of Thamesview Lodge has gone to see the Lord on February 28, 2005 at the age of 74. Born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick on August 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Alexander (1971) and the late Emily (PARENT) ROSSIGNOL (1986.) He married the late Edwina DESROSIERS (1990) on June 30, 1952, moved his family to Ontario in 1969. He was employed at North American Plastics and Libbey St. Clair, better known as the Glass Factory in Wallaceburg. He retired from the Glass Factory on August 1, 1992. He is survived by four sons, Cyr ROSSIGNOL and his wife Sherry of Chatham, Mario ROSSIGNOL and his wife Pat, Noël ROSSIGNOL and his companion Maxine MALLOY of Wallaceburg, Daniel ROSSIGNOL and his wife Linda of Chatham; two daughters Albertine ROSSIGNOL and her husband Terry BONNER, Winda O'PHEE and her husbnad Sean of Chatham; one brother Omer ROSSIGNOL of Chatham; four sisters, Esther (Mrs. Leonard OUELLETTE) of Les Buissons, Quebec, Linda (Mrs. Richard DUCHAINE) of Michigan, U.S.A., Yvonne (Mrs. Gildore MORREAU) and Meldrude (Mrs. Camille PELLETIER both of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, as well as 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. On the morning of May 21st, 2005, at Greenwood Court, Stratford. Lew was born in Toronto in 1913, the son of the late Harry and Cora (SKINNER) OAKLEY. He was predeceased by his wife Loraine (HINGSTON) in 1994, sister Josephine STARK in 1983 and cherished cat Spencer. In 1935 he graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering with an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. He was Vice President of Kist Canada Ltd., was a founding member of the Stratford Camera Club and past president of the Stratford Field Naturalists. Lew was an exceptionally caring and dedicated father. He will be deeply missed by his loving danghters Jane (Fred SWEET) of Toronto and Mary Lou (Stephen BOYER) of Milton, granddaughters Caitlin SWEET (Michael ROSSITER) and Sarah SWEET (Steven SUCCI,) and great-granddaughters Emma and Stella ROSSITER, all of Toronto. His kindness, humour, and intellectual curiosity will continue to inspire all those who loved him. Visitation will take place at 1: 30 p.m. on Thursday, May 26th at Greenwood Court Chapel, 90 Greenwood Dr., Stratford. The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow. Entered into rest peacefully at his home on Balsam Lake after a brief illness, surrounded by his entire family on Monday August 29, 2005. Jim LAIDLAW, in his 73rd year, was the beloved husband and best friend of Beverley LAIDLAW (FRALEIGH) for over 50 years. Loving father of Jimmy LAIDLAW and Kathy of Ajax, Peggy LAIDLAW and Chuck of Bobcaygeon, Barb LAIDLAW and Steve of Ottawa, Nancy LAIDLAW and George of Ajax, Susie LAIDLAW and Ian of Oshawa and predeceased by his son Bobby. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Christine NISBETT, Shawn NISBETT, Steven LAIDLAW, Bonnie LAIDLAW and Alyssa ROSSITER- LAIDLAW and by his 7 step grandchildren. Dear son of the late Jim LAIDLAW and Harriet BOYLE. Dearly remembered by his Aunt Peg WOODROW of Lindsay and predeceased by his Aunt Jean SHIELDS. A private funeral service was held at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay K9V 2L1 (toll free 1-877-427-8434) on Wednesday, August 31. Cremation has taken place. At Jim's request, a "Celebration of Life" will take place on Saturday, September 17 at 12: 00 p.m. at 280 Balsam Lake Drive, Kirkfield. All are welcome to attend. Passed away at Kingston General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, in his 79th year. Predeceased by his wife Marian. Loving father of Joseph (Megan), John Hugh (Hala), Andrew (Suzanne), Mary Alice (Ernie), and Stephen (Laura). Cherished "Grampy Don" to his 10 grandchildren. Don will be lovingly remembered by his companion Margaret LANE, and his sisters Claire ROSSITER and Jean POWERS. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass at St. Edward Church (75 Churchill Avenue), on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 9: 30 a.m. Interment to follow at York Cemetery.
