Passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2005 at Headwaters Health Care Center in Orangeville in her 79th year. Kathleen was the beloved wife of George WINCHESTER of Creemore. Loving mother of Wayne (Linda,) Bob (Ruth) WINCHESTER, Alverna (George) WINGER, Kim (George) POWER and Bev (Debbie) WINCHESTER. Dear sister of Claude, Willis, Lloyd, Allen, Don, Norma, Marion, Barbara and Holly. She will be forever cherished in the hearts of her grandchildren Greg, Aaron, Cheryl, Kelvin, Corry, Marsha, Susan, Julie, Dennis, Brenda, Andrew, Caitlin and Bethany as well as her 17 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Irma, brother Delmer and parents Wilfred and Sophia ROWBOTHAM. George Leslie at Parkwood Hospital on Sunday, July 10, 2005 in his 82nd year. Dearly loved husband of Margaret. Predeceased by his loved daughter Catherine Mary, 1993. Survived by his sister Barbara POWER and her children Caroline, Guy, Brynne and Paul. George was a graduate of South Secondary School, 1942, and the University of Western Ontario H.B.A., 1946. George joined Texaco in 1946, General Motors Diesel Ltd. 1950 and Northern Life Insurance Co. 1963. He was president of Northern Life 1973-1985. A volunteer for many years, served on the board of University of Western Ontario, St. Joseph's Health Centre, Lawson Research Institute and London Community Foundation. He was past president of the U.W.O. Alumni Association, London Regional Art Gallery and founding member of U.W.O. Spring Festival and Foundation Western. George received the U.W.O. Alumni Award of Merit in 1985. He served as president of the Lamb's Club, London Hunt Club and The London Club. A funeral service will be conducted at First St. Andrews United Church, 350 Queens Ave., on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour before service with Reverend Dr. Susan SHELSTAD officiating. Dear sister of Barbara and her husband John POWER of Kincardine and sister of Caroline GLENN of Toronto, Brian POPP of Dutton, Martin POPP of London, Sandra FARRELL of Toronto, Mark EBEL of Wiarton, Jeff EBEL of Midland. Bonnie was born in Saint Thomas on September 20, 1955, the daughter of Fred ZIMMER and his wife Keitha of Wiarton and Betty POPP and her husband Herman of Dutton. Daughter-in-law of Doreen O'NEILL of Saint Thomas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Bonnie worked over 30 years at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, 25 years as a nurse and the past 5 years in housekeeping. She was a member of Saint Anne's Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Thursday morning and then to Saint Anne's Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. After a lengthy illness, John Thomas POWER passed away on February 8, 2005. Beloved husband of Suzanne. Devoted father of Francine, Michele (Brian LIVINGSTON) and David (Holly CARSWELL.) Wonderful "grand-papa" to Tim, Patrick and Maya. He is survived by 3 sisters, Mary MacISAAC, Ottawa, Regina SUTHERLAND, Sydney, Nova Scotia and Leola LECK of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; a brother-in-law Lt. Col. (ret'd) John F. MacISAAC; and a sister-in-law, Roberte QUINTAL. Born in Sydney, May 29, 1927. Graduate of St-Francis Xavier University (B. Sc.), McGill University (B.Eng.) and the University of Ottawa (M.B.A.). John had an interesting career, including at Dow Chemical in Sarnia, and many years with the Federal Government in international trade. It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Dorothy in her eightieth year, on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2005 in Toronto after a brief illness. She leaves her friend and daughter Carole ROBINSON and her beloved son Douglas John ROBINSON, as well as three treasured grand_sons Christopher, Philip and Julian SCHROER. Dorothy also leaves her younger sister Susan (John E.) WRIGHT and nephew Andrew WRIGHT (Kelly) and family all of Bath, Ontario and niece Kathryn POWER (Jody) and her family in Ottawa. She also leaves many extended family members with whom she kept in contact in Canada, the United States and England. Dorothy will be remembered with great affection by her many close Friends with whom she has shared her life through her family activities, lifelong Friendships, abundant volunteer work, tennis, bridge, church and frequent travel. Dorothy spent many hours over the years working for a number of causes that were dear to her heart: The Georgina Foundation, Progress Place Rehabilitation Centre, Aphasia Institute and John Gibson House all located in Toronto. Survived by his father Fred POWER and pre-deceased by his mother Mary GAGNON. Son-in-law of Gerald WOODLEY and Glenna HEATH (deceased.) Cherished brother-in-law to Michael WOODLEY, Dawn and Jean LAVERDURE and Christine and Rob SEGUIN. Peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Ina Grafton Nursing Home in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband, Reverend Hilmer Edward NORDLUND (May 1965.) Fondly remembered by her children Keith (Florence), Brian (Eleanor) and Wayne (Lenore). Passed away at Kingston General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, in his 79th year. Predeceased by his wife Marian. Loving father of Joseph (Megan), John Hugh (Hala), Andrew (Suzanne), Mary Alice (Ernie), and Stephen (Laura). Cherished "Grampy Don" to his 10 grandchildren. Don will be lovingly remembered by his companion Margaret LANE, and his sisters Claire ROSSITER and Jean POWERS. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass at St. Edward Church (75 Churchill Avenue), on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 9: 30 a.m. Interment to follow at York Cemetery.
