Unexpectedly, after the 'Hard as Nails' fight of his life, from complications of leukemia/stem cell transplant, Jonathan, 52, left us peacefully early on the morning of September 23, 2005. His spirit, energy, and passion for life will always be fondly treasured by family and Friends. His courage lives on through his devoted wife and best friend, Maureen MULLROONEY. Proud▼ and dedicated father to their children, Christy, Kevin, and Sean. Loving▼ son of Joan and the late Bernard PICKLES and brother to Christopher (Liza), and Paul (Lynda). On Thursday, August 25, 2005, James passed away at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital with his family and Friends by his side in his 53rd year. Loving son of Dr. Roy and Barbara TRANTER, beloved father of Gillian TRANTER, dear brother of Judith PICKTHALL, Barbara TRANTER, Timothy TRANTER and Mary TRANTER. James will be sadly missed by his former wife and good friend Laurie TRANTER and his nieces and nephews, Alisoun, Jennifer, Gregory and Samuel. He will be fondly remembered by many other relatives and Friends. Mr. TRANTER is at the Niagara-On-The-Lake Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 415 Regent Street, where his family will receive Friends on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Rita worked as a Practical Nurse at several London hospitals before retiring after 11 years at Southwestern Regional Centre (Dietary Department); member of Our Lady of Angels Church in Pardoville; Blenheim Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Predeceased by her husband Gerald William LANE in 1984. Dear mother to; Murray LANE and friend Linda of London, John "Rick" and wife Rita Jr. of Chatham. Loved grandmother to Erin (Jarrod); J'aime (Adam) Amy; Kevin (Natalie) and Lisa (Ryan). Special great-grandmother to; Jamy, Andi and Jillian. Sister to Cecil of Petawawa.
