This gentleman and soldier left us as he lived, quietly, with pride and dignity at Parkwood Hospital on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005, in his 85th year. "Ted" is predeceased by his parents George Alfred ROE (Evelyn Alice) of Victoria, British Columbia, his brother Dr. John A. ROE (Kae) also of Victoria, British Columbia his loving wife of fifty years - Eleanor "June" ROE (1992,) 2nd wife Dorothy FEENEY (2003.) He is survived by daughter Sheila LENAERTS (George) with their four children Benjamin VARTY, Michael VARTY, Tara CRAIG (Pete) and Georgina PERCIVAL (Michael). Also survived by son John "Vincent" ROE (Jan) of Red Bay, Ontario and daughter Patricia ROE- FLAHIFF (Robert) with their three daughters Kamilla, Alanna and Natalie of Montreal, Quebec. Born July 19, 1919 in Cowansville, Quebec, passed away peacefully at Windsor Western Hospital with his beloved and devoted wife of 62 years, Alice (née SPRINGSTEEN) by his side. Walter PERCIVAL was the adored Father of Marlee PERCIVAL- ROBINSON and John THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (Bermuda,) Judith and husband Tom NEWBY (Nashville, Tennessee,) and the late Wendy PERCIVAL- WALSH (October, 2005;) Grandfather of Scott ROBINSON, Catherine WASSMANSDORF, Philip WALSH, Douglas WALSH and Charles WALSH; much loved Great-grandfather of Emily and Daniel WASSMANSDORF, and dear brother of Keith PERCIVAL and wife Mary (Orangeville) and the late Alan PERCIVAL and wife Urve (Toronto.) Dr. PERCIVAL was a Captain in the R.C.A.M.C. in World War 2, was knighted by the Order of Saint John's and was respected and honoured for his love of teaching first aid for Saint John's Ambulance and worked tirelessly examining all the children going to the Kiwanis Camp. He also served on the Board of the Detroit Institute of Art. Dr. PERCIVAL was a graduate of McGill University Medical School. After returning from World War 2 he took 5 additional years of medical education to become a surgeon and went on to be a dedicated physician in Windsor for over 40 years. He was a 'gentle man" who loved his work passionately - believed in administering medical care to the whole patient, practicing cutting-edge surgery procedures, but refusing to abandon the practice of old-fashioned house-calls. He was also willing to reach out where needed, even accepting an invitation to run a small hospital in Kijabe, Kenya for several months. His patients and his work always came first. Visitation is at the Walter D. At the Clinton Public Hospital on Saturday, December 3, 2005, Mrs. Betty Marion PERDUE of R.R.#3 Clinton in her 65th year. Beloved wife of Murray PERDUE. Loving stepmother of Gerald PERDUE and his wife JoAnn of Belmont and Deborah Ann PERDUE and friend Kelvin ROBERTS of Guelph. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Eugene JACQUES of Rodney, Julia CLIFFORD of London, Roy JACQUES of London, Joyce SELWOOD and husband Gordon of Barrie and Bonnie Ann LOCKWOOD of British Columbia. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and sister-in-law Gertrude JACQUES. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., 153 High Street, Clinton on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Care Centre, Newmarket, Ontario on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Reg TRACEY. Loved mother of Ken and Mary, Keith and Bernice, Leonard and Liz, Richard and Hilary, Susan and Eugene VERBEEK and Allan. Loving Nana of 14 grandchildren. Dear sister of Margaret HORAN, Fran PERDUE, Rosemary KEARNS and predeceased by Helen QUAIL, Beatrice KEARNS, Maurice, John, Louis, Edward and James QUAIL. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Resting at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria Street E., Alliston from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 190 King Street S., Alliston on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery, Alliston.
