PAPERNICK, Jean (née RITCHIE)
In her 94th year, peacefully passed away at Huronview Nursing Home on December 26, 2005. Daughter of the late Ida and William RITCHIE, she was the loving wife of the late Ivan PAPERNICK and loving mother to Larry (Susan FRIEST) and unconditionally to her first born Frances. Jean also touched the lives of her close family members, which include: Her sisters, Elsie (predeceased Robert IRWIN,) Daisy (predeceased Elmer WALL) and Violet (Jim SMITH;) Her brothers, predeceased Harvey RITCHIE (Betty) and predeceased Eldon RITCHIE (Madeline;) and granddaughter Simone PAPERNICK. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and Friends. Jean practiced as a Registered Nurse until she met her husband, at which time they opened a ladies store in Goderich - the Fashion Shoppe. Jean was a passionate nurse and fervently committed to taking care of her family and Friends all her life. She was an avid duplicate bridge player, enjoyed her golf outings and was very active in the church and other charitable organizations. Jean was unconditionally devoted to her mentally challenged daughter Frances. The special bond between them will live on forever. Jean will be fondly remembered by her very caring nature, kindness and strength of character that allowed her to overcome many obstacles with grace and dignity. By Jean's written request there will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation. A service of remembrance will be held at North Street United Church, Goderich on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 1 o'clock. With deep sorrow, I announce the passing of my mother, Agnes Jean HARKNESS, wife of the late Frank HARKNESS, on Friday, July 29, 2005. Mom faced these last difficult months with the same courage and spirit that she brought to her life's journey. She was loved and cherished by her family - son-in-law Louis FORTIER, grand_son David, her extended family in Montreal Marthe and Marie FORTIER, "her second daughter" Sandra PAPINEAU, her nieces Pam WYVILLE and Patty BARTLEY, and by Helen and Don BATEMAN, their children Mary Lee, Carol, and David, who opened their hearts and embraced us as members of their family. I will be forever grateful to Friends and neighbours for the compassion and tenderness extended to both my mother and me. As she reunites with my father, her spirit will live on in all of us whose lives she enriched. At the residence of her Friends Dr. Sandor and Mrs. Marica VIGH, Margaret SIKLOSI in her 87th year, beloved wife of the late Albert (Bela) SIKLOSI passed away peacefully on May 24, 2005. Margaret and her late husband Albert emigrated from Hungary to Canada in 1957. They became proud Canadians, conserving also their Hungarian heritage. Margaret will be sadly missed by her nephew Carl PAPP, his son Carl PAPP, Jr., wife Joan and their son Eric. Also by her nephew Rudolf SANDOR and his wife Anna (Hungary,) her godson Peter DRABBANT and his wife Christina.
Margaret was a friend to so many and they all will keep her memory in their hearts. Margaret's family want to thank all her Friends for their help and moral support they tried do lend after her beloved Albert's passing. The family wish to express their gratitude to Vera and Les FELEKI, Dr. Sandor and Mrs. Marica VIGH, Shirley HOTHAM, John EBERHARD for the exceptional Friendship they demonstrated in the final years of Margaret's life. McCARTER, William Beverley (1925-2005)
Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Stirling Maxine (CLOKIE.) Passed away peacefully April 25, 2005. Loving father of Kara (Harvey BUDD), Viva (John PAPPEL), and Dena (Joseph MONACHINO). Dear Grampers of Andrew and Cameron PAPPEL. He will be missed by his brother Ron (Marion,) sister Shirley (Bud LANGDON) and sister-in-law, Marion McCARTER (Francis CRANDELL) and all the extended families. Bev's life was filled with academic pursuits, with degrees from the University of Toronto, Cranfield (United Kingdom), Carleton, M.I.T. and Sheridan College. He was an aeronautical engineer who worked on many aircraft, including the A.V. Roe 'Arrow'. He took pleasure in his cottage, art, including painting and glassblowing, and the reading of war history. His life long passion was his wife Evie, and we take comfort in knowing that they are together again. We would like to thank The Orchards Retirement Residence, and the staff of the St. Catharines General Hospital for their dedicated care. If desired, donations may be made in Bev's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

EATON, Malcolm " MAC" (1965-2005)
Malcolm 'Mac' EATON, It is with immense sadness, we announce the passing of Mac EATON on May 3, 2005 at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous two year battle with cancer. It was with great difficulty that Mac left his loving wife Janice and their daughter Jordan Mackenzie (8). He will be sadly missed by his mother and father Wayne and Marie EATON of Debert, Nova Scotia, his "big sis" Angela, her husband David PAPPIN and their children Sam, Jessie and Olivia of Glen Arbour, Nova Scotia, as well as his relatives in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
Mac, an R.C.M.P. officer of 18 years who rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant, had countless Friends and colleagues throughout the country, having been posted in locations in Quebec, Northwest Territories and New Brunswick. His brothers from "E.R.T.", who never left his side, will always be a part of who Mac was. Mac had an immeasurable love for his family, a great passion for living and was always in pursuit of new challenges. Without a doubt, Mac's favourite past time was golf, Friends and family will never forget the times spent walking up the fairways for a day on the links with him. Mac will be terribly missed by everyone whose life he touched and his energetic smile and laugh will be forever in our hearts.
There will be a celebration of Mac's life held at the Truro Golf Club on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund for Jordan. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Marlene and Orval ULLERICK of London, Bill and Helen WAGNER of R.R.#1, Hay, Earl and Glenda WAGNER of Exeter and Dorothy and J. Paul DUCHARME of R.R.1, Dashwood. Beloved and cherished by her brother James (Brantford,) her daughters Lona (Bob RICHARDSON, Thornhill,) Marion (late Lynn CUNNINGHAM, Caledonia,) and Helen (David GILES, Caledon East.) FORREST, Muriel E. (née PAPPLE)
On Monday, October 31, 2005, Muriel Eleanor FORREST (née PAPPLE,) died at Scarborough Grace Hospital. At her bedside were son Neil, his wife Sheila PROVAZZA and Muriel's companion John LYNCH. Muriel is survived by sister Marion PULHAM. She was sister to the late Doug PAPPLE. Born in Brantford, Muriel met and married the late George "Duke" FORREST and settled in Toronto. Muriel and Duke lived and worked in many parts of Canada and loved to travel. After retirement, both were active at 36th Ulster Division and Canadian Legion 345, enjoying close Friendships. Muriel was devoted to Neil and Sheila, making a special place for their Friends in her life. Ever young and convivial, Muriel will be deeply missed by her sister Marion, niece Sharon, nephews Gary and Don, sister-in-law Ethel, Jeanne LISTER and many loving family members and Friends. A Memorial Service in Toronto will be announced for mid-December. Donations to Scarborough Grace Hospital and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
