Passed away at the Scarborough Hospital on Thursday, April 28, 2005. Gene PAGEL of Midland, in his 77th year. Gene was a retired machinist for McDonald Douglas Aircraft in Malton. Loving father of Micheal (Rita) PAGEL of Perkinsfield and Andrew (Barbara) PAGEL of Toronto. Dear grandfather of Eric and Mark. Dear brother of Inaz (Ingo) HARTZ of Germany, and Peter (Lutz) MERKENTHALER of Germany. Gene will also be missed by his nephew Nikolai and nieces Linda and Cordula of Germany. The family will receive Friends at the PAGEL Residence, 44 Goldfinch Crescent (Whippoorwill II), Tiny Township on Saturday, May 7th from 2-5 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Peacefully at Markham-Stouffville Hosptial on Friday, May 13th, 2005 in her 85th year. The marvelous voice that laughed with us, prayed for us, counseled us and soared above all others in song has been silenced by time. We will miss her always and take comfort in knowing that she is now with her beloved husband, Bill, who passed in 1981. Rose, loving mother of Greg CARDUCCI (Gail) and Lorin ELLIS (Rick) and treasured Nana to R.J., William, Victoria, Peter and Stephanie and her grandchildren who brought her such joy. Died peacefully on January 9, 2005 in his 73rd year. Remigio was a beloved husband and best friend of Silvana PAGURA for 48 years. Survived by his loving children, Zeno, Marco and Sonia grandchildren Stefan, Alexa, Katherina, Danielle, Chiara and Simon; daughters-in-law and son-in-law Irene HRYNIUK, Heather PAGURA and Trevor DASILVA and his brothers and sisters Emilio, Ruggero, Anna, Vittorio, Serafina, predeceased Davide, Luisa, Elda and Cirillo. Born in Castions, Italy in 1931, Remigio immigrated to Canada to start a wonderful new life with his loving wife Silvana. He was a man who was kind and generous to every person he encountered. A man who puts others before himself and a man who only expected love in return for help rendered. Remigio will be dearly missed by all those he has touched with generosity and selfless support. He will be lovingly remembered as a devoted family man with a great heart and sense of quiet humour by all of his family.
